WATER! WATER! WATER! Drink lots of it. Trust me it helps shed the pounds. If working out is torture for some, then try things like taking a ride on your bike or your man/woman LOL. You can also go swimming. Swimming is something that will work your whole body out and it's fun. Eat healthy and work out at least 3 times a week, but when you do work out remember to do lots of cardio, because this is what makes you shed the pounds, and the weights will tone you up. Remember that taking pounds off isn't all about the physical work out and eating healthy, it also has to do with your state of mind. Think positive. Don't stress over it so much, because stress can make it harder for you to loose the weight.

If you want a quick reference, watch the movie/documentary called "SuperSize Me".....But hey, you're also a guy....I find through lots of case studies (on an average), that guys generally have a faster metabolism rate than women.....

Girls, if you wanna lose wieght or tone up all you have to remember is the word moderation. Diets are not good because whatever your body was used to is no longer recieving it, so therefore the next time you end up consumping whatever it is you cut out, the body will store it for much longer due to its abscence.
For me, I have noticed certain foods that make me gain weight; pop, junk and too much carbs, less protien. What i have done in terms of my food intake is reduced the amount of carbs and increased my intake of protein. That means more chicken, beans, organic nuts like cashews, and peanuts. CUT OUT EVERYTHING WHITE!!!!
And finally as for excercise, Im a dancer, so I love taking up dance class. My gym XTreme Fitness offers the most diverse dance classes with the city's finest instructors. I do salsaerobics on Mondays, Bellydance on Tuesdays, Hiphop on Wednesdays and Exotic Dance (strip class) on thursdays. Friday you can do the treadmill and light weights. My secret is to not lift anything heavier than 5lbs, only because of my small frame, and the more reps, lighter load, the more effective it will be and you wont bulk up, but you will be toned.

Danny, don't even start with the cold. I hate diets. I gained nearly 10 lbs. during the winter. I don't really eat that much but oh, how I eat the sweets. I finally started working out: running on the treadmill for 30 min. and doing pilates and yoga. However, it did nothing, NOTHING! I just maintained the weight well it did improve my flexibility but no way Jose did I see the awesome results of the infomercials. Since the spring, however, I started running outdoors. I run 8 km. three times a week. I'm finally back to my normal weight (plus a pound) but here comes the winter again. Does anyone run during the winter? Anyone know of any indoor tracks?

I've been working since JAnuary at a industrial plant. I have to climb so many stairs and check several devices though 12 hours shifts. I hate this situation since before this job I had an easier one. However, I've lost at least 15 ponds, I can see the difference in the scale, visually there's not much change. I keep eating like before may be more, but exercise is the only thing that can keep me thinner. Diets only make me gain more weigth and be more irritable through the day.
So, do exercise until you sweat. I know it sucks but that's the better ways to keep in shape.
What works really well is a combination of healthy food selection as well as exercise.
You cant get the results you want with only one of the two, you need a combination of both. I suggest you talk to a trainer, they will be able to give a program to target the areas you need to target and they will help monitor your results.
Premier offers a trainer and a program for about $100.00.
Try to hit the gym about 3 times a week, and control your eating habits... that tends to do the trick...

I do, sometimes, toning exercises and pilates. They work. Since I am not a big fan of gym, I do that.
Plus i stoped eating at 4-5 in the morning after clubs every weekend which helps
That helps!!! I have also stopped eating after the clubs.
I eat all my carbs in the day time. But i don't overdo it. Your body still needs some carbs. Then in the evening i eat something light. I also go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I do cardio and weights.
Once or twice a week i'll buy fast food, like McD's.You can't deprive yourself from these foods.

Also for u chcolate lovers out there try to eat slim fast chocolate bars there good i mean really good and they are way lower in fat and calories. its all about eating 4-5 times a day small meals and just knowing what u put in ur body. ok Ladies i have done diets they dont work! What i have done is i started the Gym in January going three times a week and then i took on a personal trainer just to help me with machines and build a few routines! What i have also done is my personal meal plan meaning i eat what i want but sensably i mean i eat cabs meats and all that but i prepare it at home so i know what im suing and when i go out to eat i try to eat chicken and just a bit healthier but i do have my nites were i eat whatever i feel like i mean u cant totally deprive your body of it.

I've tried The atkins diet, and 6-8hours a week at the gym. it works 100%!! i did it at the begining of the summer. started in mid april and by the mid may, i was down 15 pounds. I had difficulties at the introduction stage, but you get used to it. I used to love potatoes, pasta and bread, now i don't even touch it. My body stopped craving it. I was actually thinking of starting this week, but something special came up for friday, so Monday it is. It's atkins baby. But afro i still want you to bring Ultra smirnoff!! Please!!
www.atkins.com- very heplful site. It has a 2 week meal plan, that you can do...it worked for me.
As much as you don't want to, you have to exercise. If you do want to loose weight the suggestion is to use the treadmill about three to four time a week. However the key is to use the heart monitor and do the fat burnining program. Most treadmill will ask you your age, weight and sometime height. My suggestion you start slow at a speed of 2.8 the gradually increase it. I say 40 minutes work out. Use dumb bells and do a few reps for your arms and chest. And don't forget you Abs, Push up are very good for tighten the muscle. This you will gradually loose the weight slower process. But that is better for your body, I feel.
Or the other suggestion is using heavy weights less rep. It will turn fat in to muscle. This is a three months cycle. Second Phase cycle is less weight and more rep. Five-minute warm up and five minute cool off. Schedule you day’s work out. Legs one day, arms and chest second day, third day what you missed and cardio the last day.
Also the eating habit is a main factor in loosing weight. Eating healthy is the key... five meals a day, however very small proportion.
If you don’t want to do the exercise or have no time to exercise the low crab diet is a good one. I actually really liked the Sun Beach diet. This had also recipe in the book that helped in the meal plan, but you have to follow the diet. This is a problem for most people they do it for two weeks and then they give up.

I've tried to cut down carbohydrates,. that works,. but because of my obsession with chocolate,. It s difficult to keep it,. but I try,.. now i excersice 3-4 times a week,. now i m doing more cardio than weights,.. because few months ago ,. I was mostly doing weights and it wasn't giving me the results I want,. but I try ,. and I have to lose weight,..
I tried the diet of the Flu a few months ago, and it worked wonders, I lost like 10 pounds. (Had the flu for like 10 days, ate nothing but soup and crackers). I also have a sweet tooth and in the past few months I've almost completely cut down on sweets and that seems to be working wonders too. Plus I now exercise regularly. I bought a crosstrainer and I exercise at home, when the mood strikes (which is not often, but every once in a while).

Eating wise i dont really follow anything, I just try not to eat too much junk food (e.g. chips, chocolate bars, etc.). I try to do so once in a while (just to indulge a little). As for exercise, i try to do Winsor Pilates at least 3 times a week.
