chile ill tell you what my mom does she has a three yr old! But she would give him his last bottle and once he was fast asleep she would take that toothpaste that is safe for kids and the finger brush and gently just pass it over his teeth! and then just try to give him a little bit of water in a bottle and honestly it worked! i mean you can give it a try! and she also said that the last bottle is not an issue the milk wont rot there teeth or anything por el estillo! she should be fine as long as you clean them before the last bottle which is what guada said! that way its just the milk and brush them first thing in the morning!
thats coming from my mom who raised three and now a fourth one!
You see!!! thank you Genie! and here i was being told i was naive! Being the oldest of 5 does teach you a lot about parenting you know.

That's a good idea. I did that as well.

Angelita girl, then you just contradicted your own post. I'm merely suggested that if Chile is worried about Chile Jr's last meal staying on her teeth before bed, then she can brush them before her bottle and listo.
But then again, yo que se. Ni mama que fuera.
Ahhhh, i love my sleep
HUH?? Now how is that?? You said " I don't think milk is that bad. How about brushing them before the bottle? that way, the only thing she has is the leche..me entiendes?"
Leche it bad. My son would fall asleep after his last bottle but he never slept through the whole night with the milk and bottle in his mouth. Some kids do fall asleep with the bottle on their mouth the whole night and that's bad because the milk is still in the bottle and on their teeth. The milk can rot their teeth!!
You said: "My son always fell asleep with his last bottle of milk till he was 3 years old. Although he did, he never had any teeth problem. "
So meaning, he fell asleep with leche in his mouth, and that's what i'm saying! That chile jr, will very likely be ok!
Then you added: From what i was told, don't let her sleep with the bottle on her mouth all night!!! Other then that, i have no more suggestion.
Osea, que si el baby se duerme con la pacha(bottle), then it's bad, and this i 100% agree on! but still, the leche is in the teeth.
I'm leaving

I'm not going to read e'one's replies, so if anyone has answered the same thing, too bad. But I think you're freeking out over nothing. It's frigging MILK!! not Coca-Cola!! Actually, I think we actually used to GIVE my son the bottle so that he WOULD fall asleep
Ask me something harder, woman

It won't make a diff if I brush after her last meal and then I leave milk on her teeth.
The milk causes some serous damage. I want her teeth to be perfecto.
Really? but my brother drank his milk before bed and fell asleep like that for almost 4 years! His teeth are fine. And the new ones coming out now are even better.
Ok whatever, i'll stop before someone else yells at me.
Yeah some kids are fine. I don't want to take that risk.
Am I the only foro parent obsessed with teeth

She's 18 months, Chi... at worst, her teeth get rotten with the overnight milk over the next year or two... in three or four years she will loose ALL the current teeth and they ALL get replaced then. I say don't worry about brushing her teeth AT ALL! Go smoke a joint instead while she drinks her milk!
You're welcome.
AH - Milk overnight in her teeth is not the end of the world. Her teeth will likely be alright. I'd do what someone else recommended already. Brush her teeth, bottle, sleep, brush again next AM. Done.
OH and like X said, whenever she cries and says "PAPI LECHE", don't forget to spank her!!! She should be asking YOU, not him.
WTF are you all Britney Spears fans or something. I don't want her baby teeth ROTTEN. HELLO that is freaking NASTY! Not only that but my niece is 7 years old and still changing her teeth...I will not have her live with rotten or missing teeth until she is that age.
BTW in Chilean PAPA is what we call the bottle in baby talk. She isn't asking for him ....TRUST me she knows MOMMY does everything.
@Yesi...that would be a good idea if she didn't wake up and the sound of a pin drop Okay I am lying she is a pretty heavy sleeper but if I get in her mouth with a toothbrush she will wake up and then ball her eyes out and hate me
@Guada I do that now...brush and the bottle but that ain't good enough!!! YOU SHOULD NEVER GO TO SLEEP WITH ANYTHING ON YOUR TEETH!

What does the doctor say? I don't think milk is that bad. How about brushing them before the bottle? that way, the only thing she has is the leche..me entiendes?
I mean, you can always brush them the next morning. And she does go more than 8 hours without brushing after that so she should be ok over night.
WTF did u read the problem? she doesn't want the leche left over night....entiendes?
~X
otro que bien baila. Ok, take this as an example:
YOU, have cookies, a few pieces of fruit, maybe some juice and then it's time for bed. You have left over bits of all that food you just ate in your mouth. You brush your teeth, and then feel thirsty for a glass of milk. You have your milk and head to bed.
All you have is leche! what's so bad about that? worse is having EVERYTHING in there still until next morning!

LOL Girl, its not about whether she goes to bed without brushing her teeth. It's about the MILK that stays on her teeth. Milk has bacteria and it can cause damage to a childs teeth. That happens to many kids that fall asleep with the bottle in their mouth.

So far she is doing all the things she is supposed to...walking...talking....eating with a spoon etc but I have a problem and I need some advice. So I am concerned because she is still falling asleep while drinking her last bottle!!!! I have tried giving her the last bottle and then brushing her teeth but she can't fall asleep without the milk. It's making me crazy because I am worried about her teeth and the milk just sitting on them all night. Do I let her ball her eyes out till she falls asleep????
I have tried the following:
-replacing the milk with warm water.....to that she screamed LECHE :(
-milk and the brushing teeth and the bed and she just stands in her crib starring at me until she says "PAPA...LECHE" :(
I can't let her cry it will kill me.....what do I do
