I guess it is a superstitious thing overall....

They say if your room is a mess on New Year's Eve....your entire year will be disorganized and your room will always stay messy for that year.....and that you won't think clearly....

They also say if you stay home for New Year's....you won't party very hard all year long....you'll be a home body for the most part that year......

Superstition in deed....some believe in it...some don't......

Why or Why not?

because I am supertious on some ways

EX: If you were at work during the countdown, it means you'll do nothing but work all year around.....or more focus on work than anything else.....etc

No. Why would it?
Unless it’s based on some sort of superstitious belief... which I'm not, for the most part (superstitious)

Ok, my short answer is: No

I agree.

If you were at work during the countdown, that kinda says it all, doesn't it? You probably have been working all year round and some things just don't change. That probably has more to do with personality than new year's superstitions.

As for me, it's ALWAYS exciting to ring in the new year. Hell, it's always exciting to ring in a new day, but the whole idea of a new year is just so promising, like a white canvas; turn the page and start over again. New beginnings are always exciting.
