That's what I was thinking!!!
You guys are not the sharpest pencils in the box, are you?
Hispanic or Latin-themed movies = Selena or Chasing Papi or Spanglish but with Christmas Trees and Niņo Dios and rum and all the beautiful traditions us people who live in Canada and the U.S. still maintain from our own culture.
Call SuperLatin music and ask them if they have Hispanic Christmas movies!! I know there must be some, if not here, at least back home!!
I thought about that, but 1) SLH is too far for me and 2) the Buffsters would be going all throughout the movie "What did she say? What does that mean?" So that's a
I'll definitely do that next year. Has any of you people seen Angelitos Negros? I don't know if it's a Christmas movie. I think it is, and it's really, really sad. :tear:

This is really, really, really sad. There are no Hispanic Christmas movies? Really? Even though we have some of the best traditions of any culture and we make the most noise and the best food and the wickedest parties and our family get-togethers are the greatest fodder for comedy and for drama as well, we have NOT ONE christmas movie to watch with the young'ns'???
um sweetheart... this is probably the very reason we DON'T have any movies... we've been too darn busy keeping up with traditions, parties and celebrations, who the heck has time to make movies. We leave that up to the whiteys who have nothing better to do at Christmas than to spend the LEAST amount of time with their families.

I realize more and more that Hollywood has not been kind to our people. They can do Blood In Blood Out and American Me and even friggin' Scarface and put us all in such a negative light, and there's NOT ONE GOOD HISPANIC CHRISTMAS MOVIE???? I'm gonna HAVE TO have a serious chat with Jennifer and Marc and Eva and Robert about this.
There is one called, 'predo y el lobo' it's a cartoon, and in spanish. Not sure if you'd be able to find it though.
That DOES NOT sound appealing. If you only knew the amount of cartoons I'm FORCED to watch at home on a daily basis, you'd understand.
But it's super cute! Fine. I try to help and i get a slap in the face.
Pfft!
Fine! I'll try to find it. And just looking at the title, I may be mistaken, but shouldn't it be Pedro y el Lobo. For the movie's sake, I hope it's not "Pedo y el Lobo", although knowint you, that'd be more right up your alley. See, I know you too well, Guardalapana. You've made waaaaayyyyyy too many references to bodily functions in the past.
that's awsome woman, finally someone pays attention. And i didn't see i spelled Pedro wrong. Ooops.

So we have this tradition at home that started out of plain laziness where on Christmas Day we do nothing but eat leftover whatever-we-had the night before and watch movies. This year I want us to watch some Christmas-themed movies but with a latin touch, and I really can't think of any.
Any ideas? I don't want to get stuck watching the Grinch or one of those silly whitey Xmas disaster movies. (No offense to the whiteys... )
Good God woman!!!!
Those are CLASSICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ALL of those movies!!!!!!!!!!
