You're a bit slow - so that's NO SURPRISE there!

It's just the ghetto version of the real "Footprints"

"Ghetto Footprints"

On a night like any other, a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the snow-covered ghetto streets with the Lord. Across the city night's sky, the man saw scenes from his life flash by. For each scene, the man saw two sets of footprints in the snow. One set belonging to him, and the other, to the Lord.

When the final scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the snow. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the hardest times in his life.

This got him heated. "Lord, you said that once I roll with you, you would have my back to the end. But I have noticed that at the worst times, there is only one set of footprints. Where were you when I was in tha streets trying to make a dolla out of fifteen cents? Where were you when the Man had me caught up in the system? Where's my forty acres? I thought we was down?"

Black Jesus holla'd back, "My brotha, we have been down since day one. It was during those tough times, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried your broke ass."
