I thought the movie was great, JLo and Marc did an amazing job. It sorta reminded me of an Indie film, very independantly produced, not much hollywood glam, which is different for once!
yes LB, I agree about the drug use, but I think that's what director Leon Ochoso wanted to achieve. Its a tragic story, right. The music was great. Marc did a phenomenal job stepping into Hector's role.
The film was acquired by PictureHouse for $6 million USD., and has an anticipated release in July 2007. I absolutely cannot wait until the soundtrack comes out. I loved all the songs. I loved it when Ruben Blades (played by Victor Manuel) came on stage and in honour of his idol Hector (Marc Anthony), he dedicated a song to him, "El Cantante".
You guys should see it when it comes out.

I saw it at the Festival.....and I personally think there was TOO MUCH focus on his drug abuse and not enough on his accomplishments......no mentions on any awards he has won...for example....
Ohh and not sure when it's coming out.....I heard December then I heard next year for the soundtrack so who knows really.....
The best was JLO trying to speak spanish..... MALAW!
