YEs, Cesar Palacio is ecuadorian, I don't live in his area, but the good thing is that people obviously believed in him, and hopefully he'll make it big in politics in the future, since there are not many latinos in politics.
Honestly I have no clue about Canada politics,. I only know that my family always vote for liberals,... I don't vote,. but I pretty much think that canadian do not vote because since they are children they are not taught about the importance of ur rights/obligations as a citizen,. including voting,. and it s importance,.
About Cesar Palacios he is Ecuadorian,. but I was told about an article on TOrontoSun about some "turbulencias" during his period,. I thought he wasn't gonna win,.

I voted for Castillo ( I have no clue about him though) since Miller was obviously going to win.
I'm glad Danny's buddy won again. Did you guys know that his wife is Latina? (Not Lahtina... that's MiMi's territory)... Venezuelan, I think. And the only Latin member in council is still Cesar Palacio. Where is this guy from? And what's he into? Does he represent us well?

ANd then for a guy who has help the community a bit but lost anyways, I think it was about time.
I think is important for us to vote since the politicians see who votes or does'nt. If they notice we tend to vote then they'll try to make us happy, not because they care, but vor our votes obviously.
And no, I didn't. I didn't know any candidate's platform, I didn't know who was running, except some dude named Coke and I wasn't about to vote for namesake or for the sake of exercising my right to vote.

I even read all the candidates platforms and I actually follow the community newspaper to see what the issues are, who are the newbies and what's going on with the ones that are already there. I was gonna vote for all the women 'cause in my area there hasn't been a woman in council in 20 years. And I TOTALLY forgot to vote!!!
Next time I'm going to advanced polls.
WHAT WHAT WHAT ????? Eyes popping out big time ! Out of all I thought tha you would have gone/went/been whatever !!!!!

*eyes rolling* suuuuure you're going to advanced polls. You'll probably forget the date of that too... It's ppl like you that complain about our government and then do NOTHING FOOOOR SHAMMMMEEEEE Buffy... FOR SHAME!
I know it is not mandatory by law but as a citizen IT IS your obligation or duty or however you wat to call it.
I know many pple don't care and don't vote. I also know that not always or most of the time promises are not respected but at least you expressed your opinion and maybe your vote could have make a difference on an important subject.
Ohhhh well, I guess I've been around to many political talks and all

A big for those of you that voted yesterday and a big for those that did not.
It is your obligation as a Canadian citizen to vote. Even if you didn't liked or were convinced by any of them you still must have vote. Blank or the green party is always an option in those cases.
I really live in a hole...I didn't know this was going on....so it's too late to vote now right?

I don't live in Toronto so, most of you wouldn't know the candidates in Mississauga even if I mentioned them. The only thing I have to say is HAZEL WON! I love that little old lady... Kudos to her for doing it again (11 years in a row and definitely her last).
How 'bout you Buff? Did you vote? Would it make a difference if the candidates were latino? For me I don't think it would make much of a difference. I look at what they are trying/going to bring to the community.
