Como ya lo habia dicho yo (algo asi, al ser criticado por ver mucho CSI episodes): Unfortunately, life can be more weird than any tv show, that's what I think.
That is really weird. I think someone just wanted to be an a-hole and sabotage even the poor man's funeral. We can be so vindictive and ignorant in this community sometimes.

There was no mass at St. Phillip Neri because there was a death threat so police evacuated everyone to the funeral home. They did have a mass and some speaches but obviously not the way it was intended to be done. Anyways, lots of people, media, and towards the end they played 2 of his favorite songs. After the first song they wheeled out the coffin and everyone clapped at his exit. They will have a mass for him at St. Augustine's on Shoreham and then on the Dec 3rd at St. Phillips Neri again.
I just wanted to say that whoever made that call obviously has a lot of envy and a lot of hatred within. I can't believe that some people have no respect - not even for the church.
Anyways, it was a nice ceremony and I'm glad I attended.
They were supposed to have a mass at San Felipe Neri (en español ), but my mother told me there were several police cruisers there, and there was no mass. The ceremony was inside the funeral home.

I believe they were waiting for his family to arrive from Miami....
I'd like to know more, but it seems to me that a death in the family would qualify for someone to get to Toronto ASAP, not wait 10 days to get here. Miami's not the end of the world. But who knows what's going on there.
