If you are ecuadorian (nacido o naturalizado) you can vote ,. even if u have any other citizenship,.because Ecuador has Dual citizenship,..

and the only reason ecuadorians are allowed to vote is because there is sooooooo many of the out of the country, it would make a gr8 impact on the voting poll.

@ X - babe lets go vote.

Babe I hope you don't go for Correa, that's all.

I can't I wasn't born in Ecuador.

@Danny - ya right. Well there you go, behave like a Noboa now. It's a good thing.

IT IS possible for Ecuadorians to vote outside of Ecuador.

I found this

Danny, you are not legally Ecuadorian right? I wonder if any of the legally Ecuadorians here voted. Or maybe their families...

I don't think I have a right to vote in Ecuador - I was not born over there.  But I do think children of Ecua-parents can apply for DUAL-CITIZENSHIP and I would think that would give them the right to vote.

Too much corruption in politics in Ecuador – They offer you the world till they get to the top; but once they make it there, the phackers just use the power to enrich themselves and their friends!

yeah but the only reason this **** happens is because ecuadorians are so stupid to put up with it.....they keep electing the same people over and over......

I thought it would be similar for all South American countries because of the history they share.

In Chile, it's not possible for Chilean citizens living abroad to vote, simply put, because the Right wing refuses to support a bill that approves that right, and that is because of the assumption that most Chileans living abroad, are (or are children of) political exiles, who would obviously vote for the left wing.

Can anybody confirm if it's possible for Ecuadorians to vote from other countries?

I dont know about Ecuas but i know Mexicans are encouraged to vote!

It's not surprising man, If I had posted something about elections in Chile...nobody would have replied either.

Do you know if it's possible to vote from a different country in Ecuador's elections? It is not possible in Chile, and I doubt that it's possible in South American countries, so it is not that surprising that Ecuadorians living here are not that interested in this....but ask if they'll vote for Miller or not...there you have a thread full of replies, which is a good thing.

yes it is....u have to go to the Ecuadorian Embassy.
