I was 16 or 17 I think, but I remember that it was more to reassure my partner not because of my feeling towards him even if we weretogether for few years.


The bad thing out of it is that today, I don't say it, for me, these words lost their meaning and I am not even sure that if I get to meet my s/o I would be able to.

The first person I think that I really loved I never said it too...but the first person I said it to is my current boyfriend (I was 24 when i said it) and I completely meant it and still mean it

When I was 17, and I totally meant it.  Ended up getting married, had 2 kids, but things are different now.  Incredible how feelings can change

I completely agree with you – on the part, that it seems that it appears that love has not been very kind to her… but hopefully someday, someone will come along to change her mind!

"I Love you" only to my family,.. besides I don't think that Love betwee two ppl (couples) exist,. it s more a sastifaction state,. I always remember the words of a gentleman who told me,.that the heart is muscle ,.it doesn't feel ,. ur brain is the one who tell s u the right person to be  and spend the rest of ur life with,.

I think I first said it at around 20, thinking that I meant it
I realize now that I didn't. "Love" is different in your late teens/early 20s, I think

The first time that I said it and REALLY meant it was when I was about 26

i was 21, i said it in a poem. The thing is that only the word 'love' would sound better than 'like'...and so i got stuck with it. I did mean it, only i didn't want to come on too strong and scare him away.

This is silly.  How do you know when you really mean it?  At the time when I did say it, I did mean it.  So truthfully, the first time I said I LOVE YOU and actually meant it was not to my significant other but rather to my daugther.  The day she was born!

The first time i said I love you was to the Man who i will forever view as my greatest love. But the first time i said it to Orale I meant it! Even though he said it first!! lol
