In regards to the original question... 'ghetto' has different meanings, and we use it in different ways. I dont think that it necessarily defines ones education or ones status, I think its a term thats used to define what we ourselves consider 'ghetto'.

ex. if my friend takes tupperware to a buffet, then I consider that ghetto
ex. if my friend gets his brand name clothing off the back of some guys truck instead of paying full price for it at the store, then I think that smart
ex. if my friend says phares like 'i wanna cop that dope album still' or 'yo babygurl, what chu be sayin?', I dont consider that ghetto, but rather a selected form of speech.
ex. Getting one refillable drink cup at BK and going for refills over and over and over again,so that you and your family of 5 can all drink from the same $1.50 drink... this is borderline ghetto LOL

People have preconceived notions to define ghetto... like a certain type of clothing, listening to a certain type of music, living in a certain area, speaking a certain way... but it all depends on what you consider 'ghetto', on what your standards are.

I personally dont see anything wrong with doing things a lil ghetto.

Many girls are not ghetto there just plain slutty,trashy or Whores, but not ghetto, we just use that term cuz its so much easier and nicer to hear and call someone ghetto then what they truly are.

To me, there's a difference between ghetto, and poor, or with bad taste...it really depends on the person as a whole i think.

A person can be poor, but IMHO, that doesn't necessarily make her/him ghetto.

On the other side, many rich ones are ghetto.

I guess we'd have to define what ghetto means when used as an adjective.
