Parallel lives... I tells ya. Actually, now that I think of it, the girl I knew moved to a small town somewhere in Ontario.
BTW, 22 sounds so young to be married with kids... Not judging your cuz or anything. It just sounds young to me.
Yup, she i very young. She came to Canada and realized what the freedom here is like and she went crazy. She moved out at 16 yrs (that's the legal age to move out in this country) and as much as we tried to talk to her and stop her (beating her, was on top of my list) we couldn't do much. So she met a guy (great mexican husband) and got knocked up. But at least they are married now and both have jobs. She is still pregnant with her 2nd child, but she's doing well.
Where is she now? And did she go to an all girls high school?
She's still living in T.O. She got married and has two kids now. But no, she is not the same girl you know. My cousin is 22 yrs old and she did not go to Loretto!(Lucky her)

I had a friend in high school whose parents had her when they were in Canada illegally and they had to go to their home country (Ecuador, I think). She came back in her teenage years to live with relatives 'cause she wanted a canadian education. The parents never came back.
That's the story of my cousin who was born here in Toronto, but went back to Ecuador with my illegal uncle and aunt. But she came back as a teenager to live with us and her parents are back home. Her parents don't plan on coming here.

But when the couple register the baby, it's a open exposure for the parents the migra no ? So are all kids from illegal parents registered ?
The hospital won't report you. There are a lot of illegal people with Canadian born children. I know of a couple who are illegal and the hospital kind of gave them a hard time, but they never got reported.

Once you walk into the hospital they know you are there illegally but they dont report you, you can lie and say your waiting for your immigration status papers and well they have no choice but to take care of you, However if you have been deported and there is a warrent out they have ways of finding out and reporting you but they usually DONT so its a safe haven,
When you register the baby most ppl lie and most ppl at the government office dont really check they just make sure that you did give birth and that your baby is alive and well and the hospital helps you fill it out if you need it!
If your parents are Illegal and you are a underage Canadian and it's happens that your parents get deported, well then you have to go back with your parents or your parents can leave you here in Canada with a relative. Until the child becomes of legal age, then he/she can proceed with the sponsorship application to bring in their parents to Canada.
But your parents can apply for an Humanitarian and Compassionate application. In this process you can "try" to convince Immigration Canada that you and your child have a stable life here and it would be hard to get your child adjusted to the life in the parents country. Chances are slim for this. I would further elaborate on this, but if you need answers, you should contact a good immigration Lawyer.
Anyhoo, just cause you have a Canadian born child, that doesn't mean that you can stay in Canada.
If they apply for status and don't get it then what? Then they don't get in. The problem is the system has been abused for so long that all these rules and regs have been put into place and now decent people, even those without a good income as Miguel mentioned, can't get in. WHY THEN WHO CARES RIGHT! BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CANADIAN CHILDREN THEY HAVE? OR HOW CAN THE GOVERNMENT KNOW IN A YEAR IF THERE ENTIRE LIVES WERE OR ARE AT RISK BACK HOME! DO U KNOW THE HALF ASS RESEARCH THESE PPL DO!
and I was wondering. What happen when you are born in Canada from illegal parents ? What is your status ?
I know I can google it but I am somewhat lazy this week.
YOU ARE CANADIAN and have all the rights a canadian does! And if the day comes that your parents get deported then you have the choice to stay or go!
