Carlos Varela is awesome.  He sings the song "Una Palabra" at the end of "Man on Fire" (movie with Denzel Washington).

Has this guy been doing Sabadazo for a long time in Cuba? Does this mean that Ismael Cala just "borrowed" the name for the same show he used to have here in Telelatino? Or was it some sort of a spin-off of the old show in Cuba?





okei i just checked up with a fan and the cuban sabadazo ran from 1993 to 1998. a live band every saturday night, and the best tv host I can remember in Cuba. Humor, of course, was rather lame, although at points they would all go off script and do the double meaning thing and all that...

not being broadcasted in the same country, I'd doubt either of them cared.

the cuban sabadazo started back in the 90s... lemmesee if I can find mo' info

don't hate me for posting this here rather than in the events section... but these people are very, very good.

Yes I know it's being promoted in one of them banners, but anyways I'd like to recommend this show 100%.
