Now, although I sometimes fall into the "weirdo" category, I can wholeheartedly say I am neither a pedophile or petty criminal... so
Honestly, I started going to movies alone soon after I had my kids. Whenever I had some free time or an afternoon to myself, I would go catch a flick. I needed the alone time and walking around aimlessly at the mall didn't quite classify as a "relaxing" afternoon for me at the time.
This weekend I went 'cause the kids were at my parent's house, hubby was working and I just wanted to chill and watch a movie.
Dogo: thats funny man, never done that myself, but it sounds like a fun thing to do. I bet people already knew you went there alone anyways. With the small popcorn and medium sized Pop.
BUT.. I used to always look at my watch, like I was waiting for someone... after a few looks at my watch I'd throw my arms in the air and look at someone at random, shake my head, point at my watch and give them the "can you believe I got stood up?" look
I bet you a lot of the time watching you with that whole production was more entertaining than watching the actual movie!

@Luna - no no I hate when people talk....I have like the worst luck no lie. Everytime I go to the movies I either have an idiot talking too loud behind me or someone keeps kicking my chair. I always end up telling someone off or turn around and telling them nice and loud to stop.
I never have gone alone and never even thought about it. But i don't see a problem in going to the movie alone. Sometimes you need time for yourself and if watching a movie alone makes you feel good, then why not! I would go alone!
The last movie i watched was "The Protector". Oh man, that movie sucked big time! What a waste of my friday night

So I went to the movies this weekend and saw "The Last Kiss", I really liked it but probably more of a blockbuster night movie and not a theatre movie. ANYHOOO... the point of this thread is, that I went to a matinee by myself!! I was telling a friend of mine that I went alone and she almost had a bird... she said "oh, you're one of those people" but that apparently she's the minority in this 'cause she knows TONS of people that go to watch movies alone.
SO, my question is, would you or have you gone to the movies alone before?
I, obviously, have and have noooo problem with it.
I never have but sometimes I wish I would cause u make plans 2 go 2 see sertain movie n then PPL can't go or change their mind, or others don't like what u want 2 see....

Yep i did it once or twice just cuz im not patient and hate to wait for ppl to say yes or no and if i really want to watch the movie or want time to myself yes i do go!
and what did she mean by those ppl i guess she NEEDS to be around ppl or friends to enjoy a movie!!!
