YUL aka the Godfather won Survivor!!!!  Congrats to him!  BOOOOOO My dear little Ozzy lost BUT they both played two completely different games and yet were both equally deserving.  Atleast Ozzy won a car! WOOOT!!!


Anyhoo... what did you all make the whole Survivor controversy now that the season is over?  Was it offensive?  Were ppl getting their panties in a bunch for no reason?  I think they did a great job.  I wasn't offended in the least.  By far one of my fav Survivor seasons.

My ex-MIL, when someone (me) had a cold or cough would grab Vicks vaporup, put some on my back and then with the edge of a table spoon scrape the living hell out of my friggin back!!!
My back would look like a friggin zebra!! and sore as hell!

I just spoke to my supervisor who is Chinese and she said her grandmother would do that to her kids when they had an ailment. Basically it gets the blood circulating in the afflicted areas.

@Luna, use some Lysol for your 'bad wind'

He massaged his head and his temples and took the "bad wind" out of his head... after he was done a red dot appeared on his forehead and the other tribe ppl were freaking out 'cause he marked his forehead.


I've heard of this type of thing before.  My brother-in-law is dating a Cambodian girl and when he had a stomachache, her mom did sort of the same thing on him.  it had a red mark on his body (that fades away) but what it is, is taking out the "bad wind" from the afflicted area.

Isn't it interesting how even within the asian tribe there was a little bit of "profiling".... the majority of that tribe didn't understand why the Vietnemese (sp) guy was so unlike them.  They were very "americanized" and didn't "get" his way of healing that guy from his headache.  They were kind of laughing at him.


Although, this was only the first episode, I think they may have the most problem out of all the other tribes.

I caught bits and pieces of it, I must admit, I only wanted to see the Azns. I think this will be a good competition; it's like a mini-olympics or of sorts. Now don't get me started on THOSE racist games.

Actually watched it lastnight with the wifey.  I'm not much for tv but the show was good.  I'm all up for the hispanic of course then the asians, white and black.   Sei cou had it looking for him.  Happy he got voted off.....and what's up with that white chick that left loose the chickens?  Her a$s is voted next just watch unless she starts showing her **** then probably not...I liked the show will be watching it next week :)

Hey Peeps.... so its the morning after of the first episode the controversial Survivor season... did anyone watch?  did you think it was tastefully done?


Well I watched, except of course for tribal counsel, 'cause I was insanely tired and fell asleep (it was midnight by the time I got around to watching it) and I think that overall it was a pretty decent episode.  Some castaways immediately didn't want anyone to make any stereotypical comments and other castaways just didn't care.  They embraced it and said, it's Survival as individuals not races.


Billy is already one of my favs, 'cause he's latino, big and just seems like he's going to struggle out there!
