Contrary to what Mel Gibson would say I don't think the Jews are killing Foro.

I just think it's the lack of participation in all threads.

still funny!

The day we all met eachother, is the day foro went downhill! Well that's my opinion. Plus i agree with LG (), we've been here 4 too long (1 year 4 me) and the excitment of reading and posting has worn off! (4 some of us)

What is killing foro?

• Seems just about every topic has been covered – there are only so many new topics that come up.
• A lot of the “good” old regs are gone, or have changed nicks and –at least me- don’t really know who the oldies with new nicks are.
• Like anything else, be it piano class, ballet, ridding a new car – gets “old” after we’ve been doing it for a while. Most of us have been on TH Foro for well over a year… so, it’s not “new” to any of us and the excitement has worn off.
• Most people know each other and the mystery of “who is behind that nick” is gone.
• Yes, some of us are asses and go off topic on most threads thinking we’re funny/goofy.
I’m sure there is more.. but that’s what first came to my mind.

whats killing foro:

everyone knows everyone

only person that posts topics worth reading is JC (no offence to anyone else)

most people usually do this to reply to a thread: "LOL" instead of actually posting something worth reading

A lot of people are gone now

We're all kinda like the little kids at the school dances... where we all kinda just stand around waiting for someone/anyone to start dancing or to ask us to dance.  Sameway we all just kinda log on to see if there is anything worth reading, and we dont contribute... we just wait around, doing nothing.

And a big thing is, there are no more annonymous people, so we really dont have drama anymore... foro sans drama = boring foro for all

my two centavos.

Dogo is in Mexico
Baina quit foro
Latin Child Soul? never heard of him.

I think the lack of decent topics plus after meeting in person, you don't really care about their opinion or care to learn more about them through discussion.

Generally speaking of course.

hey lahti... i feel you girl... I hate the quoting of quotes of someone else's quote.  it's annoying and not really necessary.  the "@" whoever usually works fine but whatever.  People will do what ppl will do.

The going off topic usually annoys me as well or when ppl bring their personal beef into a thread.  Hey don't get me wrong, the wonderous fighting of Prieto vs Foro was an entertaining affair BUT when you someone says "Oh I don't like grapes" and someone else replies "ya, it's 'cause you have beef with Willie W" and then they go on about whether its true or not in a thread that was simply about World Politics is extremely annoying.

it's sad but true

We definitely all agree on the same thing: foro is not what it used to be. What do you think is killing it?

A long time ago I posted things that bugged me about foro. One that still stands today is misleading topic titles. Sometimes the threads have ambiguous titles. I kind of want to know what I'm going to be reading. It would avoid a lot of disappointment.

So I think the lack of order, 'seriousness' and information worth reading is what is killing/has killed it for me. I went to another forum but that one was too strict. God forbid one should start a topic remotely resembling one that had already been discussed, use one word for another or go off topic. I basically came to the conclusion that what I need is balance.

About foro I hate that we can never stay on topic, that there's so much bull that should really be kept to PMs, that interesting topics get lost in a sea of nonsense so that when you do have time to go and post something they're nowhere to be found. I also hate having to read through threads of quotes of the quote of the quote of the quote of the quote of the... you get the picture... I HOPE!

The "goodbye - oh, nevermind" threads might be killing it too.

You're such a complainer!! Ok, so i agree with you! Yes threads always get off topic, too much bull being posted, hardly any interesting topics, and it's true the quotes things gets too long! Plus some people take things to heart in this foro. Anyhoo, it's foro!!

BTW, there M.I.A. people in here...........

Dogo, Bainaman, Afrodita, Zipote, LCS, Xtina..........hmm there's more... where are they now???
