No joke, apparently Starbucks has a wicked benefits package, even for their part time employees.
Yes they do...

The thing I hate about job interviews the most is having to write the thank you letter the next day. Well, that's not the hard part for me, I already have a very nice and totally honest letter... my problem is... I ALWAYS FORGET TO ASK FOR THEIR BUSINESS CARD!! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

No joke, apparently Starbucks has a wicked benefits package, even for their part time employees. And we all know these Starbucks people make money, I mean, the company does, 'cause their stuff is SO expensive and yet it's always packed.
Marky Mark wrote: Bahh, don't worry about it, I screw up greetings all the time. It should be a standard "Hello", "Hello".
I hate when people say 'What's new?' and I reply, 'Fine, thanks'.
Once someone actually said 'Hello' and I said, 'Good.'
Neither happened during at a job interview mind you, but still quite embarrassing.
ooh, just thought of another, my english friend says, "What do ya know Mark?" and I never have an answer.
I say stick to the eyebrow lift or head nod and everyone will be fine.
I do this all the time! If I'm going somewhere and someone says, "have a nice trip" I say, "you too". Sometimes I'll do something and they say nothing and I say "you're welcome". Seriously, I'm always saying the wrong thing. As for interviews, I've soooooooo many that now I just don't give a rat's ass. I'll just say whatever. In my experience, when I thought I blew it, I sometimes got the job, and when I thought I aced it, I never heard back from them. Go figure.
At least you did well. I have CHOKED on EVERY interview that I've had!!! One guy asked me, "How are you?" and I couldn't think of an answer, so I choked, and said, "Nice".
I suck!!!
LOL "Nice"
I never thought or wanted to be a graphic designer. It just 'fell into place'. As much as I've tried to get out of the industry, it pulled me back in.
You'll always end up where you should be, at least for the moment anyway.
Enjoy the ride.
Funny
Your wife had the same reaction when I ran to her in tears about this incredibly humiliating experience.

That a tough question, Lunita. I feel that I have pretty much been going where ever life takes me... I've been a leaf in the wind. Though once I found myself in a particular place, I have been able to decide whether or not I want to stay there. I don't know if it is possible to be or to feel completely satisfied; maybe it's a matter of personality. I come from a place where people don't really go anywhere; they just do what the rest do: get a job, get married, have kids, end of story. I can tell you that I really had no aspirations  but once I was headed in that direction I knew that wasn't for me and I really fought to get out of there. I know that some of the people I was working with back in '93 who are still there! They complained about the place and the work just as much as I did yet they are still there! I guess that's stability for ya but it's definitely not for me. No way, no siree... I spit on stability, phooey!
I have been in many different stages in life. Sometimes they seemed to have no end but everything eventually does. So anyway... yeah. Most of the time I don't know what I want. But knowing what you don't want also works. Right now I am in "a life" that I am really enjoying - I love school, love it! But damn it! Does it have to be so expensive?

@JC - You've had it pretty good man. Nice to know bast@rds like you have it that way :P
Ya I got lucky, but it's not gonna help me when I decide to pursue another job. I'm going to get nervous in the interview and might not know what to say
I'm sure you'll do well bro I wouldn't worry about it too much....biggest part which i tend to worry about is not being there on time or getting lost and ending up elsewhere. Or questions about there company, I hate those ones

I actually have never had a job interview. Both jobs I've recieved have been out of luck. My first position I got because I found out 3 months into the position that the boss' daughter liked me, and the current position I have I got because I applied on the day that someone quit. The only questions I have recieved are "When can you start?" and "part time or full time?"
So why do you have to quote me huh? Huh?? HUH????
YOU'RE JUST RUBBING IT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO, my question is, how did you know you wanted to do whatever it is that you're doing now in your career? What things helped you make up your mind?
I wish i could help you out girl, but im the same boat as you. The job that I'd love to do would pay me peanuts.. and the jobs that I usually get offered pay alright but the job sucks the big cu lo.
So its either what you love to do or paying the bills.
Yeah I agree questions like that, that do come across in an interview you just gotta swing it. If you have the intention if being there for 2 yrs then do it. Gather the experience and take off. Either way they are looking for someone ASAP or are just eager to fill in the job position.
I agree with Buff, about that 98% thingy. I myself am doing Bilingual IT Analyst and didn't see myself doing it really. All I know is that I'm here for the meantime and might as well enjoy the time I have left. I like to set a timeframe approximately knowing how long I'll be here. Try to accomplish goals that I have here and once gathering what I need (hookups, know a few ppl from the industry) then I pursue that and continue along up the ladder.
