LOLOLOL YES!! I'll try that! Wow, you can get good advise on foro!
Anyway, that might have worked but all I could do at that moment was sit there with a blankstare and a feeling of disgust growing inside me. I mean, what was I supposed to do? Be like: Noooo!! That's not it! Ugh! << Eggsactly. And then you stick out your tongue, for dramatic purposes.
Entendido y anotado!
Man, real life sucks! Everything should be posted. Much easier to correct people and make them look like fools while you're at it.

I was not very well liked in class. I wonder why.

So I was in class and the teacher asked: does anyone speak Spanish? A few people and I raised our hands and then he had this one girl pronounce the word "ceviche" - which the teacher misspelled, I might add! (seviche) and so she pronounces it like so: sayveeche *all girly-cheery*, meanwhile this was me:

I love Ipods dor one reason....PRIVACY....you are in the bus/train/subway and the lady/gentleman enjoys his/her music while you read your book...
BUT
Since the MP3 speakerphones were invented gave the Opportunity to any gettho arse gangsta wanna be living from welfare cheques to affor one of those....therefore they get in the bus/train/subway blasting those little devices, the worst part is that they dont play any tasteful music....all you can hear is
HOLLLAAAA
NIGGAAAAAA
DALLLEEEEEEE
HOLLAAAAAAAA
and some gunshots...
I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATEEEEEE THOSE
If they can afford a cellphone...they should keep their music for them....

MAybe she's already wearing false teeth. Many of my newfie co-corwers don't have their front teeth eventhough they're not even 65.
So I'm in the middle of this situation (can't really specify) with a figure of authority (not at work... it's something else) and the f-ucking ass-hole is sounding all patronizing and condescending, which is pi$$ing me off even more. Let's just say it's an issue of bureocracy and red tape that he could solve by snapping his fingers and he just won't do it, without any logical explanation.
I tried to talk to him several times, left messages and sent e-mails, and finally, today, I talk to him person to person. He thought he could make me "see the light" but when things like this happen, se me sale el indio, and even though I don't think I was disrespectful (well, maybe a little) I didn't back down. And if it need be, I'll make even more noise.
My question is, do you guys let authority figures have the last word? Why is it that they get away with things? For me it becomes a challenge, and though I don't always win, nunca me quedo callada. Is it better to keep quiet and let things happen? What do you guys do?
THAT WAS HILARIOUS COMING FROM U!!!!
Why is that hilarious? Don't be fooled by the fact that I'm tall, blonde and dumb.
Tall and blonde?

So, there's work to do and directions to be given. And they say 'i'll be right over' it's a cubicle away. And no one shows up until the wee hours (or few minutes) before i have to go.
If they have no rush, then why should care right? But i DO! i do care, i hate having work on the table that i could finish, but can't because of people who rather go else where and chat their heads off!!!!
UGH!

Alright seeing that this thread is about ranting I have a question of my own..
Has anyone ever dealt with a SUPER CRAZY MICROMANAGING OWNER....i mean you have a manager already as it is.. but then the owner comes y mete su cuchara en todo???Crazy details freak who makes a big fuss over small stuff.,.and whens theres a big fire he is nowhere to be found?!?!?
I was reading my own post, trying to remember what this all was about, and it took me a minute to remember... turns out that things worked out exactly as I wanted and the "figure of authority" and I are now the bestest of friends. Well, not really, but he can stand my ass and I can stand his now, and we say hi to each other and all that crap.
@ McO: I'd sympathize, but I don't follow gay wrestling.
I have this co-worker (a she) she chew's like a Newfie and infact she's from Newfoundland, I can hear her crushing her doritos all they way from my office....

If I understand it correctly, you are looking for a shortcut and want this person of authority to do you a favour and pull some strings?
He has every right to say no.
If you want to convince him then explain how in doing you this favour it will not affect him or his job, how you will take responsibility if it backfires and offer something in return be it money or a gift.
No, you didn't understand correctly. If you ever come to a foro outing, I'll tell you the story.
not laughing at your comment, but at your signature. Since I came back from "retirement" I hadn't enabled the view signature feature until now and I just saw yours... that's hilarious, but...

I agree.
Buffy, try to keep the indio inside a bit longer but don't worry, Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

I would never do that,.. I always fight for what I think is right,. and that gets me in trouble most of the time,. I hate standards and everything else that only benefit some ppl,..
Of course I don't always win,. but at least you are being true to yourself,..I tend to be silent,.but my actions go further that what my words would go,..
