interesting topic ms. lahtosa... i agree with you wholeheartedly and by no means think you're a prude, unless i'm a prude too and we're just a pair of old prudes
ANYWAYS, I have found that the stores like La Senza Girl, Siblings and a few others that I can't remember now, are so focused on being trendy that they lose site of who their market is. Don't get me wrong most of my daughter's wardrobe is from La Senza Girl but I definitely pick from their more sensible line of clothing (not the tube top, short skirt section). She's a kid and I want her to remain that way until its time for her to actually grow up. Nothing made me happier than the new long shirt and longer shorts (above the knee) styles that came out this summer!
Well, I have 2 daughters so Im gonna have double headache with this. I also buy most of my oldest daughter`s clothes from La Senza Girl and Siblings. But I am very picky about what I buy her. No belly tops, no hip huggers. Like Julie said, todo a su tiempo. But to answer Laht's question, I do disagree with the way most of these little girls dress. But this is a tough issue to fight. I`ve known of girls that leave the house in jeans and t-shirt, next thing you know, they end up at the all ages events in little booty shorts and bikini tops

In the last 2 years I have seen how kids have change dramatically, and to be honest with you I believe it has to do with family. I mean both paretns work now days to survive and therefore they don't have much time for the kids. They go to the mall and get wherever the kids want because they don't want to spend the extra time looking for something that its more for their kids age.
So sad, but true. All I can say is thank god I don't have any kids.

If I ever have a girl I'm going to bring her up old school...real old school. Bringing back the Chastity Belts

why don't u try talking to ur girl and paying attention to her :) cuz haven't u notice that most of those girls ask their parents for the stuff and parents give in easly so that they don't have to worry too much about their kid cuz she is "happy"???
to me those kids are ateention hungry and that's about it!

Humm, it's been like that for few years now, eveywhere :almostsamrta$$:
I wouldn't let my kids dress like that, I think you can be sensual/sexy without looking sluty. Plus ay un tiempo para todo and those little grlis, are for sure, way to young.
I mean, the they complain why they've been bothered, molested, etc...
Many pple might not agree with me but clivage, mini skirt, high heels, make up, etc.... @ a certain age not @ 11, not even 14/15 or so...........SORY...AH
I don't mean teenagers, please, those probably are hoes (kidding). I mean 5-10 year olds.

Ok, as of late I am not in the mood at all for writing much here. To ask this question and get your opinions, I suppose it would make sense to build up an argument, throw some supporting ideas here and there but... who has time for that? Pffffffffffft! Fine, there IS time but I just don't feel like it. My brain is all over the place right now. BUUUUUUT!!
Do you think that some mothers allow their little girls to dress like major little hoes? This summer I noticed a lot of skimpy clothed girlies and it's not that I'm a prude or anything (heck, maybe I am!) but that just doesn't seem right. Dice el dicho que la ocasión hace al ladrón... what about the perv?
I remember a few years ago when I read Lolita that I really sympathized with Humbert Humbert's character. Sure he was a sicko but that Lolita girl was no innocent little dove. Anyway... I'm bored now. This is the part where I would write discuss but... yeah, right! Please, give me your one-liner input, crack a joke and feel free to go off topic.
