If I'd grown up in a beach town in Colombia, I probably would prefer not wearing shoes either. Can you imagine for someone who literally GROWS UP on the beach, and spends her childhood barefoot, what it would be like to have the restriction of shoes when she performs, especially if she doesn't have to? I prefer to see that, and not someone like Christina Aguilera or Gwen Stefani, who OBVIOUSLY look so uncomfortable and for whom I feel pain every time I see them walking and almost falling while performing, 'cause they can't handle their ginourmous heels properly... Phew, that was long!

Well, partly is part of her just being plain and humble like that. Second of all, I think she`s just paranoid because one time that she did wear shoes during a concert she fell and sprained her ankles or something. And plus, for the type of movements and dancing that she does, shoes would just get in the way, especially with the long costumes that she wears for the belly dancing and interpretive dancing.

I was at her last concert as well, 3 years ago, and from what I remember, she did half and half. This time it was like 90% spanish. It was great.

Awesome concert. It has to be said that this girl is a great singer, dancer, entertainer, performer, etc. It was a full house. Wycleff opened up for her and he tore up that place, especially his DJ/MC, that guy really hyped it up. What kind of strikes me as odd though is that although this was her "Oral Fixation/Fijacion Oral" tour, she hardly sang any tracks from these, she mostly sang songs from her Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones CD, and a few from Laundry Service. Not that Im complaining because Im more into her older stuff, but I was just thinking that the "non hispanic" audience may have been expecting more of her English stuff. But even so, I think the crowd just enjoyed her stage presence and performance in general.
