Curiousity got the better of me so I had a look to see if I could find samples of Jerry's vocals but it seems that AIC are just promoting an upcoming 'Greatest Hits' CD.  It doesn't appear that they have any new material since Staley's death.  Am I mistaken?

Woohoo!! So that's all they'd be performing? I love it! I hate it when I go see a band I always liked and they sing new crap that I don't even know.

I think you're right the album is 'The Essential Alice in Chains'

Surely you jest. Dave is doing fine. Krist is not in the music industry.

You're right. I thought Foo Fighters were ALL the former members of Nirvana, but I just read how Dave Grohl didn't want people thinking this. Anyhoo, what do I know?

True story: I met the members of Foo Fighters once (and they even talked to me-- seriously, we actually chatted) and i had NO IDEA who they were. I told my niece's boyfriend at the time and he almost slapped me! He couldn't believe I didn't recognize them! And the sad part is, I'd been a huge Nirvana fan. I'm just not good with faces.

Alright! A Dave Grohl concert!

Acutally I like Jerry Cantrell's voice a lot but I'm not sure it would be the same without Staley's 'grinding- whine'.

Who sings that part feed my eyes [...], Jesus Christ [...] in Man in the Box?

Cuz it would definitely not be the same with someone else's voice.

I agree, it's definetely not the same...it's like hearing Dave Grohl sing Lithium.

But given the circumstances I think it's the next best thing...

Actually, Jerry Cantrell sings now. He's always been the guitar player for Alice in Chains, and many say that his voice resembles Laney Staley's a lot. Remember that he's the one who did all the backups and harmonies.

I think I would go see them if I had good shrooms.
