I had to read that twice LoL!! It's early in the morning ...
But you talking about the people that do nothing and the smell sticks forever and you grow a black tail with a white stripe.
But I thought skunks don't really control the spray ... I thought when they get frightened they spray so it's unvoluntary control ... I don't know much about skunks
My dad and my dog got sprayed last summer by a skunk
Best thing to do is go to the vet. They have a spray for dogs that sadly enough works great on humans too. You have to spray and shower with it 3 times within 24 hours and it will go away. It's not expensive either. The bottle was like $15 and it works on dogs, humans, and clothing.

Skunk Smell Remover
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 tbsp Dish Detergent. The stuff for washing dishes in the sink, not something for dishwashers.
Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, because it will boil up like Vesuvius. We are, after all, making an oxygen generator. Wash the dog with this while it is still foaming, because it is the oxygen which reacts with the thiols in the skunk stink to neutralize the odor. If it sits around, it will loose it's efficacy because the oxygen boils off. Don't try to store it in an airtight container, because it will blow up. The brew also works for clothes, humans and unlucky cats.
My dog got sprayed by one, right in the face! in my back yard The dog reeks! the house reeks! IIIII friggin reek!

bañate in tomato juice..... and the dog too... and the house??? i thin open the door and a nice freshener w/ no odor...have a happy bath
