MiMi, you're such an attention whore. Fine, you're witty and enlightening, and hilariously funny... yadda, yadda, yadda. There.

ETA: Julieta, you better send me the pictures! Or I should say, "the picture"... don't make me go chase you all over Mississauga, girl! Gas is too expensive!!!

I was there and so where a few other foro members. It was good. I'd never had a chance to meet "the creators" and it was a good opportunity to do that. The place was really nice, the crowd was selective (la creme de la creme of Toronto latin society... ), local media, musicians, some so-called rockers who were so mellow you'd think they played música andina for a living, some insect-nicknamed promoter who was really working the floor, some french ambassador who was very critical of Lupe Ledesma, of all people; some je-je guy that seems to be all over the map; some broccoli-loving guy who looks a whole lot like a famous mexican comedian and Lita Gonzalez- yes! That was the highlight of my night! Seriously. In fact, I think I'm gonna start a thread on Lita, 'cause I'm sure a lot of us, catholic high schoolers at one point or another have been in Lita Gonzalez's office... or are hubby and I the only ones? Oh, and the Plan C guy was there too! Hubby and I are such dorky huge fans of that band, and we couldn't get the guts to go up to him and say hi... well, next time!

Cafe Cubano was playing and nobody wanted to dance! Pfft! These non-dancers!!! Can you believe that? Anyway, it was a good intro to the mag and so far it's looking good.

I heard it was ok. But there were a few problems.

1. People couldn't quote each other
2. You weren't allowed to swear
3. Some conversations were slow
4. Lots of people listened but never joined in conversations
5. People would leave and then introduce themselves as someone else
6. Tons of DJs, MCs, Promoters and Reggaetoneros showed up
7. Some people tried starting intelligent conversations but many people would give smart-ass one-liners that killed the conversation
8. And after 5pm, everyone left.
