Not jealous of friends, and not my family either.  But sometimes yes I get jealous, specially when something or someone is not fair.  I get mad too.

  I don't know about girls being more jealous than us men because I've seen so many cowards hating on a brotha due to one of us having a better ride, gear and bling or simply a better looking girl.  I've actually had problems with fools like this not because of what I just mentioned cause I ain't no rich man but because of what they hear about me.  You see there have been some clowns in the past who have heard about me and how I love boxing then they wanna test me and get beat down.  I believe this is jealousy but the wrose part is they alwayz lose.  El que busca encuentra eso es lo que un pana told me once and it's so true.  Bit h azz ni  az wanna step to me but tend to crumble come fight time.  I guess they wanna see what I got if indeed I do know how to box or am I just talk'in sh t.  Like I alwayz say keep'in it real so nawh I ain't just talk'in like dem Italians or Pork Chops remember we latinos be true warriors!  In boxing Laitnos pretty much rule but of course we can't forget our brothas from African decent or even our black cubanos, Dominicanos and Puerto Ricans of course.  Girls are big time jealous though another thing to talk about which I ain't even gonna get into but I've seen it many times, many times let me tell y'all!

Ok, I wanted to post that we learn it ... but then I got thinking and decided we are born with it ... just that it needs to be umm like activated by someone or something in our lives ...

We all have potential to feel jealousy, some do and others don't and others just EXAGERATE it and use it as an excuse  

No I don't think I'm jealous of any member in my family or friends what for ... to me jealousy is a waste of time ... you just stress yourself out and start feeling less of yourself and insecure...

Envy on the other hand yes I have felt that with my brother when we were growing up but not because he had the cooler toys and I was to play with dolls but because he could do lo que se le pegaba la gana and I couldn't ... but that ended in highschool ... and never felt it again ..

Hope not to feel either one ever again ...

To answer LB's question:  I feel that jealousy in a love relationship is healthy siempre y cuando la pareja lo pueda discutir y escucharse el uno al otro ... it's probably some misunderstanding or miscommunication that could be talked out ... but when jealousy becomes like possesive or obsessive then I say get out 'cause nothing good would come out of the relationship ... you shouldn't turn love into fear for noone ...

Jelousy is something natural that I guess you can say you are born with.
Everyone has been jelous at some point, and it does not necessarily have to be with friends or family. You could sometimes be jelous about what some people have and what you don't.....although that kinda crosses the line of envy.

Jealous no, competitive yes.

I don't think its that healthy, it can put a serious strain on a relationship.  Some people do take it to the extreme, which can be really bad.  But you don't want to make your partner think that you don't care about them either.  If there is trust, then jealousy should not be an issue.

Being jealous of friends or family, not my thing.  Why should I be jealous of a friend or famliy member?? If anything I am happy to see that they are doing well for themselves, and who knows possibly down the road they could help you out for your own success.

As to a partner, I don't think there should be a reason for jealousy in a relationship.  If you trust each other, and are confident in what you have, then there should be no reason for it.
