Any time the cops come to your place, it gets recorded. Be it overcrowding, a fight or a noise complaint, it all gets recorded. Everytime the cops come in, it is required that they ask for your liquor license number. If the cops are cool, or if you bribe them enough lol, they don't inform the liquor board of these violations and nothing happens to your license. On the other hand, if the cops have it in for you, any little mistake gets noted and will enventually lead to a fine. First offences never result in suspension, but once you have a few, they nail you!! Then everything is fair game, and they will do everything they can to get you again and eventually close you down. A liquor license is a very delicate thing to have. If you don't adhere to each and every rule, and believe me there are many, you lose it. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point.
But they are obviously hitting a club/bar where it hurts.. the pocketbook. No liquor = low/no attendance.
They should just allow people to smoke up then. The party would be more chill and people would be really thirsty so they'll buy the $8 bottles of water!

THE PUNISHMENT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME!!! THE ENTIRE LIQUOR ACT IS USELESS. WHY CAN WE NOT SELL LIQUOR AFTER 2AM. AT LEAST MAKE IT SIMILAR TO MONTREAL!!!!

I read this in the Metro News this morning. That kinda sucks, especially since lately they`ve been throwing some pretty good soca jams. A friend from work deals with the sound crew that holds the jams and he`s very dissapointed.

Let's ask someone who's never owned a bar but seems like they know what they're talking about.
