I seriously think the pics don't do this girl justice. She's very pretty, but it's more than that. I find she has a lot of charisma, she knows how to smile and WHEN to smile, and she seems very confident and sure of herself. I thought both her and Laura did very, very well. I didn't really think Samantha had "it" in her. What I find about these events (and I haven't seen many) is that it's not so much about beauty and being pretty, but more about confidence, class and charisma. You can tell which girls have the "it" factor. I guess same as in life. You don't have to be the prettiest of the bunch.

I think Switz. was by far the most Gorgeous one of all, but I do think that the Puerto Rican girl had Miss Universe written all over her.

To me she not that beautiful but she sure has glamour, sexyness & all it takes to be Miss Universe.

As shallow as these competitions are, i'm glad the crown went to a Latin woman.
I didn't watch it, but i'm sure she was beautiful if not more than the Canadian one last year.
Either way, once her year with the crown is up, i hope she aspires to be a doctor, that way she will be able to make a meaningful difference in many lives.

Really ? Well, Miss Japon looked good as well as Miss Canada but I don't think they got ripped off.


Most of t he competition happened back stage, I mean, in the previous day with interviews and things so who knows what happened during this time.


But Miss Puerto Rico was stunning, actually most of them. But the blondie , they should do something for them, or just ban them from the pageant ... lol ... most of them had a terrible smile and the face, nooooooooo, I am not even going to the hair style thing.

I didn't watch it because I constantly tell myself, "I guess I should stop eating poutine" but I heard on the radio this morning that a lot of people feel that Miss Canada and Miss Japan got ripped off.


Anyone feel the same???  Or understand where that comment is coming from?

wow how many Latin countries among top 20: Bolivia(no bad at all), Messico(too skinny), Brazil(wildly beautiful, my favourite), Trini(same brownie that never wins), Paraguay(lack of grace), Argentina(cute Valeria massa-look alike), Colombia(ewew..como sacada del reinado de la cebolla)...... I think Brazil will go all the way
