I wouldn't necessarily say ALL bugs scare me but centipedes, milipedes, cockroaches, and spiders are my #1 fear!!! Hmmmm.... I shall test that concept. It's gonna have to be with a spider though because I can't stand the other pests you mentioned.
Please don't!!!

OK, let me be the one to break the news to you but... you DO NOT have an insect phobia!! You'd be paralyzed with fear everytime you saw one of those suckas if you did. No time to get your hairspray and lighter that's fo' sho'. So if they actually pick you, I'd lose all credibility I have in how phobias work, because all the knowledge I have of them are from talk shows so bah! to you.

You can't rule the world if you don't know you're ruling the world or if no one is there to see it. So, ha ha, the joke is on them! SUUUUUUUCKAS!

Beautiful???!!!!! I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this is ridiculous! Enigmatic, maybe. Misunderstood? They are hideous and annoying, what more do we need to understand? Squirrels, on right hand, are cute little rats with bushy tails. So adorable!

So yes, I turn on the killing mode for those things although my cats were taking care of most of the business.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cats. Must they bring all their prey to you? Once I woke up because I felt a little tickle on my leg. I thought it was a hair and just moved my leg a bit. Then I felt the tickle again. My cockroach six sense went into full gear. I got up, turned on the light and what do you know? My fking cats had brought me a pregnant cockroach. The momma roach was turned on its back and it was kicking and there were little whiteish roaches running all over the bed. I thought they just laid an egg?! WTF?? QEF??!! So yes, they might lay an egg, but from that little egg hundreds of cockroaches emerge. UGGGGGGGGH!!! It was FKING DISGUSTING!! I still get chills everytime I think about it.

As a kid I was hated, HAAAAAAAAAAAAATED cockroaches (the little ones) but I got over it when I moved back to Mexico and saw the big ones. I still don't like them at all but I've had so many close encounters that, upon initial freak out moment, I immediately go into kill mode. I couldn't stand slugs either. Now I don't mind them at all.
Cucas, can't stand them and never will. So yes, I turn on the killing mode for those things although my cats were taking care of most of the business.

@Lahtina: I know a PHOBIA thread has been posted before but I'm sending info ABOUT THE SHOW!!!! Dork!!! -- Edited by Motown Junkie at 09:12, 2006-07-17
Then your thread title is very misleading for us thread skimmers.
Hahahahaha, yes, Mexican roaches. I have so many stories. My ex-students used to loooove hearing them. I miss socializing with little people.
I'm terrified of the Devil's spawn!!!! Otherwise known as: BUGS!!!
Oh yes........last year, in Mexico, I had a HUGE cockroach in my hair!! I noticed this as I was hobbling back to my room from getting a needle in my ass for the swelling in my hand from a WASP sting!!! F@CKER!!!!!!
Then last night, El Pibe is my witness, I had a bloody June bug in my hair as well!!! To hear the crunch as I slaughtered him was nerve wrecking!!!!
William's murder last week was satisfying but not enough. William had babies.
My goal in life is to destroy all bugs!!!!

I just sent in an application for this show!!!! I hope they pick me!!!!
Phobias:
For the millions of people who suffer from phobias, the ordinary can become unbearable.
Does lightening send you into a desperate state of panic? Does the thought of driving across a bridge prevent you from visiting family? Does the very sight of a spider, a snake, or even a clown overwhelm you with fear? Is you phobia preventing you from attaining your goals?
A new series for the Women’s Network is looking for people who are challenged by extreme phobias. If you are selected, our fear-management guru & councilor, Dr. Janice Hill will work with you to overcome your fears and help you accomplish your dreams in life.
If you would like to be part of this new series, please send us a description of yourself; your phobia and why you would like to overcome it now. Email me at Karen.mcdermott@ajetv.com
Edited to satisfy thread skimmers such as Lahtina!!!
