I have families in the Two extremes

My fathers side of the family is what you call "Comfortably Well off" they all enjoy the great lifestyles the cars the vacations to the USA or other Islands! They dont really need to worry about little things in life!

My Mothers side of the family is now what we back home call "POORER then POOR" my grandma (thank god has four kids here in Toronto who send money to help her) has been able to pass by having her Pupuseria place right infront of her house! gracias a dios se mantiene ella! I have an aunt her sister who is poor i mean i have never seen anything like it! lives en un barrio barely eats unless she comes to see my grandma and thats not often cuz she cant be taking the bus everyday has barely any money

SO please dont say that make is sound like i dont know what its like to walk in a Barrio and not know if im gonna come out the same way i went in just cuz i want to go visit my family! Or that i havent seen the extremes of my country cuz i have and i may not know what its like to go hungry for a day or two or three (and trust me i thank the lord everyday) but i knwo that mi Tia never ever complains and my cuzins who know im canadian and i have a good life still see me as an equal not as someone above them and that i perfer staying with my grandma then my dads family! WHy because of the PEACEFULNESS and The TRANQUILITY that extist in there community!!

And yes i may be on Vacation (if u call visiting everyone u know a vacation in two weeks) but i still see the reality of it and makes me appreciate my life alot more financially and freedom wise! and am thankful that even if its only $100 i can send my aunt and my grandma a month i know that they will have food for that month atleast that i know that much!

Even Ecuador.. when I called my family (relatives), they always sound soo happy and "relaxed", they don't work on the weekends, they do 8 hrs per day (for those who work)....and they are still HAPPY... but in general.. I think life in our native countries are "funner" than here in Canada...

As some people pointed out, happiness means different things to different people, but there are plenty of developed countries high on that list too.

It's damn hard to be happy on an empty stomach.

ok, I don't really care about the order I'm not sure if it is a bogus but I have found it from different , but the thing is, depite all the problems, poverty and violence there are so many things that seems to be invisible to the eye and heart of the first world country people. It also depends on your personal experience. as far as I'm concern Colombia is #1!!.

I agree with Nigeria being #1. THey're always smiling and being thankful. I know it's no barometer for the overall happiness of a country.....but still.

I wouldn't say the survey is bogus but it isn't a fact either. I am just saying that for me, it's true.
