I started the thread when Eva was one of 18 finalists, early July. Now she is one of the 3 finalists. Today Monday Sep 4., 8 pm on CTV cable 8, the 3 finalistas are competing. The 2 getting more votes (by phone, 9 to 11 pm) go to the final on Monday Sep. 11.
She was awesome tonight, actually the best of the Top 7. If you want to vote for her until 11 p.m. tonight, the number is 1-866-943-6503. I think she'll pass easily tomorrow. The weakest singers tonight were Chad and Stephanie D.
Canadian Idol night listening and voting comes back. Eva sings this Monday August 7 at 8 p.m. in CTV. These are the Top 7 finalists, so again, out of 12,000 contestants nation-wide we have a Latin-Canadian singer for the first time ever, in Canadian musical mainstream world, making it to the top.
If you are interested, listen to her on Monday night and, if you like her performance, support her by voting by phone during the two hours that follow the program.
Without any problem, Eva was not eliminated tonight, so she goes into the Top 8!!! Next Monday July 31, at 8 p.m. they will be singing, with Cindy Lauper's assistance. Unfortunately they left Brandon in and they got Sarah Loverock out. She is a great singer, and he is not.
Desafortunadamente dejaron a Brandon y sacaron a Sarah Loverock.
Eva went into the TOP 9 last Tuesday night! She'll sing next week Monday, 8 pm, CTV. This thread is not about racial problems. It's about Eva Avila, a great young Hispanic beautiful singer who will make us all proud in the future.
More like the present!!!

AND PROUD TO HAVE NATIVE AND SPANISH ROOTS.. UNLIKE YOU.. CAN'T EVEN SPEAK THE LANGUAGE.
The term "INDIA TIRAFLECHA" has absolutely nothing to do with being from India. Do a little research on your history and you'll understand. For someone who is so PROUD, you'd think you'd know a little bit more about that.
As for MJ not being PROUD, $hit are you ever wrong there. For a person who "isn't" proud, she sure knows a hell of alot more about the heritage, the culture, the history than you do.

How am I being racist when I clearly said this doesn't apply to everyone?! JUST YOU!!! I said you're GHETTO!! You obviously didn't get what I meant. INCA roots doesn't mean you're from INDIA!!! I'm not stupid! Everyone in my family was born in Colombia and whether I speak Spanish or not, doesn't make me any less Colombian. My blood tells me where I'm from.

As suspected she sang sensationally, a Nelly Furtado song. I'm voting now as many votes as I can for her. I'd be surprised if she does not make it to the TOP 9 tomorrow, CTV at 8 pm. She was GRRRRRREAT!
