Well if your talking in a sense that we automatically take our fathers nationality over our mothers when it comes to the world cup is i guess that influence that soccer is mainly associated with Men and not women! Plus when you sit down to watch the game you sit with your father (in some case not all). Also i guess it just goes back to the fact that you have there last name before your mothers and are raised to belive that the Man is the one that runs the house and there for is better to side with him then with the "female" (please note that this is not in all cases considering i was brought up by a single mother my view is different)
i'm sure what you wrote is important, but all i could notice was how you're not screaming! no caps! i like the new Genie, she doesn't scare me as much.

I guess no canadians,.but I really would like to read the opinions of those born here,..I also do not have these issues,. I am 100% Ecuatoriana,..
OK. AWAY FROM SENTIMENTALITY, I'LL SAID MY COUNTRY WHERE I WAS BORNED OR LIVE MY FIRST YRS. OF LIFE. NO MATTER WHERE MY FATHER IS FROM OR MOTHER, IS LIKE DOGO SAID WILL BE A FOREST IF I STARTED TO LOOK WHERE THEY COMING FROM. IN THE CASE OF GOING FOR A TEAM, I DON'T BOTHER THEM TELLING WITH WHO I'LL GO.
And where were you born and where did you grow up, if I may ask? Sorry if you already answered this, I've been so out of it as of late. More importantly though, which team are you cheering for? Or did you mean you'll go... "go" with the team?

Now it's: viva Mexico por siempre, jijos de su tal por cual y recabrones. <--- although this could be of Argentinian origin. I tis not! We don't even USE "cabron" to us that would be a big "male" cabra... i guess

Ok, so... yeah. It's virtually impossible for me to make sense today but here goes anyway. During these World Cup times, I noticed that when ascribing nationality, people generally go with the father's side. Nevermind, I lost interest already. Perhaps later. Thank you, come again.
To answer this question, I think you take more on your mother`s because she is the one that carries you and you are more your mom`s (can u tell I may be a little possesive with my kids)
