You should do a viewing of your movie somewhere and charge cover so that you can use that towards reproducing it and promoting it. I am sure just here on this foro there are more then enough people that would pay $5 bucks to help out the cause man. But you provide the popcorn!
Could simply be a bad burn and that the cottage DVD is able to read past the error (ie, less sensitive to errors and/or disc defects). Try to get your IT guy to make a copy of it.
as soon as I can get a decent copy I'll post in on the net, so you can watch it...
I'm kinnda nervious about it...foro is a very tough audience....

Could be your player and not the disc. Did you trying playing it on another DVD player? Converting it to DVD + wouldn't really help if DVD - which is the more common recognized disc wouldn't work.
I did my first pre screening @ the cottage.... and I got good reviews....now the only problem is that everyone was in shrooms and weed....
so, I dunno how "awesome" the movie is.....
for some reason the DVD player over there worked fine with the DVD- .... it skipped a couple of times and then it worked fine, but still wouldn't work in mine....

Moral of the story: Make sure the DVD works fine before you get set to watch it.
