LaDyBuG, LaDyBuG, LaDyBug...........you've known me for years and yet you still don't "know" me. What couple has not had an argument?? If El Pibe and I or any other couple for that matter were beating the $hit out of each other and screaming at each other, then YEAH, I'd say that's f@cked up but he and I argue, give each other some venting time, and THEN we discuss things. I think THAT'S healthy. ....like I said, everyone deals with things differently.....some people actually go directly towards the "discuss things" first.....
As for me venting about my relationship on this forum as being unhealthy, so be it. I guess by me expressing my frustrations that was too much detail. I'm looking at my original post and yeah, WOW, I really did spill out the beans there!!! By simply making the thread you are welcoming people to give their own opinions....(and I also said that it was my personal opinion on it for being private in that aspect)
EP and I aren't new. Yes you are.....you are NEW to FORO.....that's what I was saying.....not new as a couple......If you knew Miel from her other posts you would understand more where she's coming from and her ways of approaching relationships.
Hate to break it to ya and yeah, we do have a clue. If we didn't, there's no way in heck we'd be together now. And yes, you're right, if Miel had said "what MJ and EP do is stupid" as opposed to saying "the stupid is the people involved", that would've made a huge difference. Of course!
And from the "horse' mouth", did anyone see MM's post?? A married man's post??? "But that idealistic way of thinking is quite naive. Misunderstandings happen and then s*hit happens."
I agree with Mark's comment too....this happens in every type of a relationship.....it's how you handle that matters because problems will happen to anyone at anytime.
What I find odd is, why is it that I'm getting slack from two people who aren't even in a relationship?? That's like me teaching someone how to cook! And I don't even know how to cook!!!
Ummmm....yeah....I'm gonna let this one slide MJ.....as I'm also speaking from experience....stuff you have no clue about because of my private nature.....but just FYI: I have helped many couples with their problems, with my advise and I helped them look at and handle things differently....(a few foro people can vouch for it).....so girl I can teach you how to cook and serve the food with my eyes closed.
Princessa and Chica W make SENSE!!! Did you read their posts??? "Ya in times you have your ups & downs but overall it's good or at least it should be good." "The fight and the headaches will only make your relationship stronger once you make up and talk about the problem." Man.....Princessa, Chica W, and I are doomed!!!! -- Edited by Motown Junkie at 12:26, 2006-07-03
Putting all your sarcasm aside, I agree with pretty much everything......all I'm saying and keep saying is that people handle things differently....this doesn't make any way better than the other.....that's all....some people don't need to yell and vent at their bf/gf.....there are couples who actually TALK from the get go...they communicate......BUT like I said (and I repeat)....this is ODD now in days....but I myself actually do know 2 couples like this....so I know that it exists.....
The real problem would exist if the couple didn't resolve their arguments.....which is really not your case......
Re-read my posts....I am not giving you slack but my opinion on things....if that upset you then there's nothing I can do but to keep quiet in all your "relationship threads"
(And from Knowing me you should also know that you are dealing with the queen of sarcasm but there's a time and place for that too)

Now because you and MJ have brought this thread to a personal level (I mean personal life and leaving aside nicknames and cyber characters) ,.just to make a little more clear,. I will do the same,. so you guys do not interpret me as a person who comes and post against other memebers or for that heck of just insulting. Any way i don't not retract about my comment,. because that is my opinion,. and of course is general ,. because the question was done in a general way: " OF RELATIONSHIPS????
SERIOUSLY!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT???!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH ",.. of course that it was clear that MJ was going through something like this,. I made a general comment,.which also affects not only you and her but any other person being in a situation like that,. About the word choosing,. honestly I don't think I did it in a disrespectful way,. and just to be sure I went to the dictionary and I found out the meaning,. STUPID is a word which is pretty much misused and also misinterpreted,..
1 a : slow of mind : b : given to unintelligent decisions or acts : acting in an unintelligent or careless manner c : lacking intelligence or reason : 2 : dulled in feeling or sensation : 3 : marked by or resulting from unreasoned thinking or acting 4 a : lacking interest or point
Of course everyone has done something stupid,. but she was talking about a relationship,..probably my concept of a relationship differs from yours,.

I am really sorry if I offended you with my comment,.. But I really think that people who is in a serious relationship and do not know how to manage their problems in a mature manner,. that includes no fighting,.yelling at each other,.etc, they are acting plain stupid,..

It depends on what kind of a relationship you are talking about......if you mean with a b/f, husband or a significant other than I think we just need someone to witness our lives. By this I mean that we want someone to share our dreams, our sucess and our goals....there is nothing better than having someone always by your side to tell you or to even encourage you to keep going.
The fight and the headaches will only make your relationship stronger once you make up and talk about the problem.
This all makes sense to me but I don't understand why we need to put ourselves through the headaches and the fights......like you said what is the point?? I think this is how God wanted since the beginning of time, it's just a matter of finding your soul mate.

I couldn't agree more. Couples are bound to have their ups and downs. Everything is amazing during the up, not a care in the world, but when you get your downs, its like everything on earth has come crashing down. These are the moments when you have to remember how much you care about that special person in your life, how they make you feel when you are with them. I know that things can get pretty tough, but no one is perfect in a relationship, or in general. Everyone makes mistakes, its a matter of acknowledging them, finding a solution for them and moving on, looking forward and not holding on the what had happen. I know its easier said than done, but forgive, and try to forget.
Or, just take PRINCESSA's advice, and smack him one over the head, he might become a little dumber (because you'll be killing valuble brain cells), but he'll learn.

I don’t know if this make sense or not, but when I was feeling a bit down in my relationships, I always tried to find some sort of distraction… something that would get my mind off of the “argument” to think about what I’ve done and to find the courage to say “I’m sorry, baby” and somewhere that would get my spirits up
So I would go to my trusty, local strip club… that always got my “spirits” up. So yeah, I would never find the courage to say “I’m sorry, baby” but DAMN! Did I ever feel better!!!
I'm joking sorry.... I hope you kiss & make up
