By the way, NEVER BUT NEVER tell an English person you cheer for Argentina, they will make sure they put you on a black list and will never ever shut up about that goal and how Argentina stole that cup from them.
I made the mistake of celebrating an Argentinian goal the other day forgetting that my boss who sits behind me is from England........YUP........I almost lost my job that day........
To hell with the hijos de la gran bretaņa.
Regardless of that goal, there is no doubt Argentina is one of the aristocratic nations in the world of soccer, the other being Brazil, Germany and Italy.

It was offside, AND, it was a handball. I've never heard of confus funky rule. Offside involves being behind the line of defence when a pass is sent to you, regardless of what the goalie does. This is an interesting article on the topic.
Typical Argentinean Making up rules (excuses) to justify their mistakes (cheating)!!!

A player is not in an offside position if: he is in his own half of the field of play or he is level with the second last opponent or he is level with the last two opponents
