Do people actually rent furniture? Do you or have you ever rented furniture? Do you know anyone that has?I can't imagine people renting furniture unless they are directors for music videos/movies(Hollywood or porn)
When we were selling our house, our real stage agent recommended doing a staging or something (can't remember what it was called) where someone would bring furniture in, make the house look nice and then the furniture would go back to them. It was gonna cost about $300 to do this. I can't see any other instance where people would rent furniture, unless you're running a scam that would need you to show a furnished place (it happens a lot in movies) and then the people are gone within days.

Pple do when they are sent to a different city but mostly country to live for a specific period of time. Because they don't want to move their house, don't want to rent something furnished (you never know who was there before) or don't want to bother shopping for something they will have to sale when living.
Another thing is that sometimes pple trough event in empty house they have rent for the occasion so the yfurnished it and voila !!!! Party is on.
