El Pibe wrote: " ... $23.5 million and three years remaining on his contract." Thats a lot of money to spend on a player who's going to be doing dirty work (rebounding & playing under the rim). I think that kind of money should have been used on a solid point guard, someone to get the ball to Bosh, and to help him out on the score board each night. The Raptors are in need of a center, but for that money they could have gone after someone who is a ltitle more established in the league, and can create space for Bosh just by having there precense on the court. Well.... They trade Boner and Eric Williams.....for the new guy and money in return.....So really the trade...dollar wise...isn't bad.... Colangelo is a basketball guru....with good pedigree.........he'll get this team turned around......i'm sure of it!
You wrote Boner! El que en pan piensa, hambre tiene.

El Pibe says "Que Viva Colombia" what a great place to be.
Damn, I heard about it last night, I liked the guy too. I think the Raptors have been fuct since letting Grunwald go, he was the real brains AND heart of the franchise.
Your right, but this new guy they have Brian Colangelo (I think that his name), he was the architect for the Pheonix Suns, so hopefully he'll be able to do something similar here in TO. My personal opinion, is that they also need to part ways with Sam Mitchell, and bring in a coach not just with fresh ideas for the team, but with a winning record too.

SAN ANTONIO --Concord, N.H., native Matt Bonner has been traded from the Toronto Raptors to the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs gave themselves salary cap flexibility by dealing center Rasho Nesterovic to the Raptors. Nesterovic has $23.5 million and three years remaining on his contract.
