Ok, so I notice that in the past year or so all these great artists and bands have been coming to Toronto. But it makes it very difficult, especially financially, to attend all these things. For example, here I am looking forward to Carnaval Viva Colombia to see all these Colombian artists. And what do I see on TH now? A banner advertising that Los Diablitos are coming the week before. I would love to go see them as well but the price that they`re going for and all the events that are happening around that time can make it very difficult. these promoting companies not realize that most of us are not made of money? I remember back in the good old days when artists were being brought here (mostly by Carlos Zapata from Sabor Latino), they were well spaced out time-wise, so that everyone would be able to attend most events. What is it now with this "RUSH" of concerts? Is it a competition thing?
Back then you had 1 or 2 main promoters.....
Now every Fulano has a company.....
More than a competition thing.....it's a money or power trip thing.....
Some run it like a business and others are just in it for the quick buck......nothing wrong either way.....but the people get screwed over.....
It sucks not being able to go to every concert....especially when they over lap.....
Pick the one you would rather see MOST.....
