Ricky was a hit with everyone, I was looking around while he was performing and everyone was just watching him in awe. The sound was pretty good (as was the sound technician LOL). My coworkers were extremely impressed with Ricky.

@Buffy - Im trying to recruit but they are not convinced yet, I think I need to take them to a real foro gathering. But they thought everyone was really nice. BTW, when you passed by the TD centre, all that crowd was there watching the game on the big screen of the TSE building.
I hope another even like this one happens real soon, and this time I`ll dance. I`ll come up with a routine and everything.

I just want to say THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH to everyone who showed up. @LadyBug and Ricky: Thank you for your support ,. and next time (hopefully it will be more) you bring some promoting material and Cds,. several ppl went to our table to ask about Ricky and how can they contact him,. and two ladies came by and they ask me about Ricky and I say sorry he left, and they said,. "ohhh :( we missed him,. they told us it was really good",.So that means that ppl were calling each other to come and see his performance,.
I can't believe how much networking came out of an 8min performance.....I gave away the few promo cd's I had not expecting to even give those out.....and we met a few other artists and got invited to do a corporate show...
It was funny to see so many older women approach Ricky with their jaws on the ground....saying "wow...you are really good" LOL.....and having all out conversations with him about his life and his recording....etc.....they were worse than media....LOL....(in a good way)...and what was more funny is seeing Ricky answer each and every question very classy and humble.....humble humble humble.....ohhhh did I mention HUMBLE! lol
Ricky apparently woke everyone up during their lunch break with his voice....we were proved once again how IMPORTANT.....CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT....sound is when done properly.....
Non Latin event....non-latin sound guy.....and non-latin supporters.....very pleasant! I know Ricky agrees.....It feels good being respected like that and treated so sincerely nice.....no azz kissing, no disorganization, no money issues, no feedback, no empty promises and mics dying lol.....and we even got a gift bag from the organizers.....very cute filled with goodies....they were THANKFUL we were there....and we're even more thankful for the opportunity.....
Alex Bello would have been able to sell so many CD's at this event.....people would have loved him too.....just to bad he couldn't make it.....hopefully he is ok and not injured from the car accident Miel said he had.....

THANK YOU to Alex Bello for his support, but unfortunately he had a traffic accident, everyone is fine, but he couldn't make it to the event.
Eventhough the Panamanian dancers and the ecuadorian musicians do not read this foro (I believe), I just want to thank them for the beautiful dance.

Oh, I love outdoor events. They could have Dogo dancing merengue for two hours and I'd still go and watch. But Ricky did great, even though he didn't sing the most requested song of his career. It was nice seeing Miel again (shame on me... I can't remember your real name, but you probably don't remember mine) and Salsera, I finally had to introduce myself to that ex-SIL of yours that I've known for like 15 years but you never introduced us. And she's my neighbour!!! We need to talk, Missy!
Oh, and Colo's recruiting big time. She had a big banner up that said, "Join Foro!" I think she recruited something like 3 members with not-so-creative names...
E.T.Mention that there's another tall blonde on Foro (I've yet to find out if she's dumb)... LB, can you guess who it is?

Well, I went during my lunch hour and it was really nice. Lots of diverse people, nice performances. Ricky, as always, did outstanding. It was a nice break from work. I hope they have stuff like this more often. I was unable to do the stalking I was planning

Ricky Franco and Alex Bello are helping/supporting this network thing,..This is something internal that CIBC always does , but now the hispanic are gonna launch their committe, this is the first hispanic comitte within CIBC. I am just posting because I just know about it, por medio de mis fuentes de informacion,. hehehehe,.and it something always good to know,.. sometimes we are not awared of what our community is doing to help its growth.
