Ha! Exactly! Offering help never really 'helps' though. You must start doing whatever it is you want to help her with but does that help? Absolutely not! She'll just find something else that "needs" to be done. I must type help again. Help.
YES!!
Actually my aunt (my mom's sister), who lives in Aurora (Carlos' mom) is like that too. She will be the last to sit on the table, and the first one to get up....
and yes, no matter how much you do, they will not rest, but find something else to do....
At lunch today a co-worker was talking about her mom who is visiting from Cuba. The woman is in her late 60's early 70's and according to my co-worker doesn't really sit around and "relax". She's always cooking, cleaning or whatever. This reminded me of my grandmother and my mother and basically most older Mexican women that I know. They simply cannot just take a break and chill, they must always be cleaning stuff or doing something around the house. Any of yo momma's the same way? I think I may break that tradition, if I ever make to an old age, I'm just gonna chilax.
OK SO IT IS A LATINA MOM THING! OMG ARE WE GONNA BE LIKE THAT TOO! MY MOTHER WILL COMPLAIN GET UP EARLY MAKE BREAKFAST FOR THE BOYS AND THE BABY THEN GO GET READY COME HOME COOK A MEAL WITH MEAT RICE SALADA ALL PREPARED AND CLEAN I MEAN SWEEP AND MOP AND STILL SAY THAT THE HOUSE IS DIRTY!! ESTA LOCA!!
oh yes... My mom is a workaholic, and when she gets home from work, she complains that she's super tired while she cooks with one hand and cleans with the other, as we all offer to do that for her....
