I have realized that its always easier to be there for someone else, a person you care about. But when it comes down to your own problems, its not that people aren't there for you, its that its hard to ask for help. Especially as a person who is use to giving, its hard to ask for the helping hand. Thats why I think it seems like no one is there for you when you have a problem. Maybe thats just my way of seeing it.

Do you comfort them or help them until you know they feel a bit better, and if so do you feel that these same people are there for you when you are down? I came to the sad conclusion that I am the type of person who is there for people who need help, but when I am down it is not that they don't try to cheer me or help me get back in a good mood, but it feels like I've put more effort into helping them than they do when helping me. I am not bitter about it and it could all depend on how the person is.What do you guys think? Are people there for you like you are there for them? You need Jebus in your life.

EVERYONE needs to hear a kind word once in a while.
I called someone once in the verge of a nervous breakdown.......and got NOT ONE positive thing said to me.
Those senarios are rare. If I'm upset or angry I just stay quiet with a nasty face.
My previous answer was meant more for actual necessities....or situations.
I've had friends in need.....and I've gone out of my way to help them......but when a favor of similar nature was asked of them.......they were no where to be found.
There need to be a little give and take in every relationship.
