here at work im always the COOL Kid why cuz im the only one that brings HOME Made lunches!!
THe sales guy here get there food paid and ordered in by the boss so whatever he buys they gotta have even though sometimes there food looks good!!!
But the other day i had pupusas and my boss had one cuz i share!! lol he like it so much he made me drive all the way to jane and finch (in his car so i wouldnt spend gas) and buy the sales guys and myself some!! so needless to say most of the "white guys now love them!!!!
I always, and I mean, ALWAYS, bring my lunch to work. And it's stuff that I cook (or hubby cooks) too. And I'm still broke at the end of the month. My co-workers usually buy out and food around here is pretty expensive. I don't think I could have it on a daily basis. Plus, don't people get fed up (no pun intended) after eating out so much? Anyway, my point is that it's extremely expensive to buy lunch every day, and yet most people do it. And they look tasty, but even if they're "cool" and the food's yummy (which they claim it not always is), they're probably spending waaaay too much money every day? What thinks you, foro people? Home made or eat out?
I don't recall the term "home made".

sometimes I buy, sometimes I bring... but even if I buy, I tend to NOT go for junk food (ie: McFries and whatever combos )... Sometimes, as is the case today, there are meetings, and we get to eat food from the meetings too... Heck, I had a good chocolate chip muffin, coffee and fruit salad for breakfast - paid for by my lovely job! Which reminds me, it's lunch time... I better go see if they need any *cough, cough* help with the projector
Oh, I love those catered meetings! I used to have a weekly one at my old job. Damn, I miss those days! I have a friend who works in movies and they say they feed them awesome food every day!

Why don't you buy some fruits and make a kick A$$ fruit salad.
Then you can laugh at the people who go out and "try" to eat healthy by eating Wendy's or McDonald's salads.
You can grill a bunch of chicken breasts.....keep them in the fridge....and everyday prepare of garnish it differently. You can do it sooo many ways!!!
You can bake a potatoe in the micro, etc....

When I lived in L.A. I used to always eat out. Mainly because I had to leave the office and I didn't have anywhere to be for that hour to eat my lunch. When I say I had to If I stayed, I don't mean they made me but if I stayed I would just eat and go back to work... screw that!
I don't like eating out all the time though because it's not healthy.
You can only be cool if you have McDonalds for lunch. And all the other kids are asking you for fries. Then and only then can you truely be cool. If not, then no cool for you girl
It's funny cause it's true!!!!!!!!!!

So most of my coworkers are latinos and they're lunches are pretty tasty looking and most of the time, here I am, sitting with these people and I just pull out a sandwich. I feel like such a bland white person! But today, I get to be a cool kid and have braised lamb with couscous for ma lunch.
I'm kinda worried about it being kinda dry though. It's been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Oh, I think I just ruined my chances of being a cool kid.
