I'm gonna watch that one for sure but not this weekend it will be too crazy but for sure next.
READ the BOOK.. the movie is BS.. well now that i think of it both are .. it's a stab in the heart to many Christians out there.. espcially Catholics... 2 thumbs down.
I don't understand why the Catholic church would react that way just for a simple movie...... my theory is that the Church has committed certain mistakes through history and they just wanna forget about them and limit their followers to not to inquire about them.
As I said it in another thread… there’s another movie called “The Last Temptation of Christ” that talks about the same topic (Jesus having an affair w/ Mary Magdalene) and this movie was banned for years in different parts of the world, because of the Catholic churches will...

Sure I can compare the two, they are both movies, cost over 10 bucks and both are big budget summer blockbusters, but one of them gave me more entertainment for the value than the other one. Not because its an action flick, but because it was more effective in grabbing me and keeping me interested in what was coming up. Have you seen Match Point? Thats a good movie!
I had not read the book but I saw the movie, I thought it was good, however Tom Hanks I think did not do that good of a job with his performance and am also not a big fan of ron howards storytelling anymore, I think he needs to re invent his style personally... Anywho, good movie, MI3 was more entertaining though.
I totally Agree ..I one point...I almost lol seeing Tom say a line and it was SOO FAKE!!! like wow..seriously I did not like Tom Hanks as Robert Langdons Character...

MI3 N The Davince Code are 2 different types of movies bro, u can't compare 1 with the other....

I found the movie to be very interesting indeed. Let's remember that Langdon is not supposed to be James Bond. Sofie's character is also ok, I liked her eyes and accent.
Let's not forget that the whole movie as the book is fictional.
However, I think one must read the book in order to make sense of the drama; otherwise the movie can be boring as hell.
I read this book three times before watching it and i must say that because of that i had an advantage. my hubbie was confused for most of the beginning and i found myself trying to explain the background. It got clearer when langdon and sofie are at Teabing's place. i have to say that even when reading the book that was the most interesting part. I guess it wasn't all i thought it could be because in my mind i had already set up the stage and in no way did the director do it justice. then again your imagination is always better than anything you see. If i hadn't read the book i think that i would have still enjoyed it JC get me my bootleg copy please:)
teabagging????

Don't give me the , you never replied....It's your fault...
I just saw this movie and I have to say that I didn't like it very much...it is full of repetitive clichés that makes the movie loose the credibility and that's when the expectator starts to get bored. The plot is interesting, but it needed to be exploted a little more to make it more interesting. If you want a nice tour around Europe watch this movie. 1/2

GUGH back to work!!! I am feeling quite miserable this morning!!
Anyyhoowww.....I watched this movie on saturday...and I found it to be...a bit on the boring side...I read the book and it was a whole lot more exciting then the movie ...I did feel as thought they were very close to the book (Except for a few things) but nonetheless they followed the book pretty close...I found it a bit monotonous.(is that how you spell?! Grammar patro?!) but it was OKAYYYY...a bit overated if you ask me...I think one is better off reading the book...its definately a page turner...

I just read a review, and basically its received bad reviews, they stated that Tom Hanks acting was not good in this movie at all...and you know what?! I knew it! I didnt think he was the ideal guy to play Langdons character...I thought someone more like I dunnnoooo...noone comes to mind I wanna say Pierce B but I dunno...Tatou..the french actress I think is perfect and the rest of the characters like mr, teabing played by sir Mckellin (I cant believe Gandolf is GAY!1)or whatever his name is is good too...and alfred molina..as the bad guy....BUT YEAH SOME ONE OTHER THEN TOM HANKS

I loved the book, is been one of the best I read. But I was actually reading it while I was going to a non-catholic phase so maybe that is why. I question religion a lot so I loved the book. I will definatelly go and watch the movie, I hope it is as good as the book.
funny thing is the movie is not in Theaters untill oh FRIDAY!!!!! ppl have issues but according to Cannes its not that great i will watch it only cuz i loved the book!!!
The Cannes people should get canned. Some have nice cans. Some know how to dance Can-Can. Anyhoo, what do they know? It's stupid, if you ask me.

I haven't seen the movie yet but only heard bad reviews about it. So I am going to check it out and forge my own opinion.
I've read the book and really enjoyed it. Once you start it, it is really hard to let the book aside, you have to go for 1 more page, and another one and another one..........

There goes my idea to invite YOU to go see it together!

It got pretty bad reviews at the Cannes film festival... then again the book also got lousy reviews, and that didn't stop it from becoming a best seller.
