We just had all the moms for a BBQ this past sunday and I kid you not, I didn't even see the chicken. It flew! But I wasn't that hungry anyway 'cause I was still sick.


I like the chimicurri the chileans make, 'cause it has cilantro. I don't even know if they call it chimichurri. Whatever it's called, it's yummy. We don't use that in our BBQs.


Oh, and Monday's good for us too. Let us know what we need to bring.


@ Genie: I wonder if you're going to the same quince I'm going to.

I am down whatever day!!!  Where is the question?  In my half functioning house is fine but like I said if it rains we are only dealing with half a living room.  I don't think my floors will be finished by then so her stuff will still be in the living room!!


@Julie...nah Che is sweet!  Super sweet but when we kicked out the dudes that were living downstairs we left the whole basement for him.  It's his hang out while I am at work....where he sleeps....where I send him when I am out so it's a very "doggie" basement right now.  The couches are his and so are the chairs. The thing about CHE is he is only 1 1/2 yrs old so he acts like a puppy even though he is HUGE so he is still a bit jumpy and stuff.  He is good with people but he is very protective of our place and now that the man is away he has become  bit OVER protective of me.  He would make anyone that isn't a dog lover nervous!  So for that reasont he basement is somewhat off limits right now.  Mr Chilenita is coming home May 31st to June 4th and he is taking him to Edmonton so after that he won't be an issue.

I actually love chimichurrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiii on my meat!  If done properly it's wicked.  I also like it on fresh bread - yum.  Mr. Chilenita makes the best BBQ ever!!!  There is some sort of magic Argentinos do with meat that makes it AMAZING!  I have yet to meet an Argentino that can't make wiced BBQ.


I hate the way Canadians make BBQ!!  To them BBQ is almost always hamburgers and hot dogs


Chileans are okay too but I find many of the season the meat too much.  I like my meat with seasalt and nothing else.

Sometimes I use beer.  Other times I use this sort of "paste" that I make with garlic, red onion, cumin, salt, pepper.  I put it all in a blender with a bit of water and olive oil and it makes this green seasoning that I keep in the fridge.  I think I use it pretty much all the meat I cook.  It gives it amazing flavour.  Oh, I use it in soups as well.
