Yes I've heard them, and trust me....John Zorn is crazier....


He's into alternative ways of composing and directings, as well as random improvisation sections (solo or collective) which are supposed to be free from any musical pattern, and guided more by concepts like "the sound of a train breaking" and things like that...

his stuff with Masada is super cool though, and he's coming with that band. much more "musical" in the traditional sense of the word.
personally, i rather listen to the crazy stuff.

I had the honor to play with Paquito at Humber College.......So if I have to pick one.....I'll go see Kenny Garrett FOR SURE!!!!

Would also like to see The Mingus Big Band.....and Dave Brubeck.

Christian McBride's got to be one of....if not the best bass player in the world......
