Yeah man..if anything, it was too short for me,it was about 1.5 hours.

We should go grab some drinks at the REX!

Many of the performers go jam afterwards there.

I went the other day....and it was great. Metalwood was playing. You'd like them!

Oh....btw....did I mention the REX is licensed 'til 5am durring the Jazz festival?!?!?

I guess you've been there in previous years, could you brief me on that ? they usually set up a large tent at nathan philips and a side stage next to it... also there's good music over lunch too... so it's a good place to go sit, have lunch and have a beer

well nathan philips is outdoors... its a tent. so you can't get into the tent if you don't pay... (if it's for a pay concert).. but a lot of people also hang out on the outside of the tent and listen to the music for free

You for sure have heard Dave Brubeck's most famous composition: "Take Five", even if you're not aware of it.

I'm sure you'll like his stuf very much.

John Zorn hands down.

That's if you like Avant Garde music. If you don't know what Avant Garde music is...then chances are you won't like it at all.

Other than that...the ones Baina said are awesome too...much more listenable.

MJ !!!!!!!!!!! did you actually read the thread before answering ?

My biggest confusion/concern is that the ToJazz web site is announcing a date for artist "X" (NFX)and that ticketmaster is announcing it for the next day.

I am going to give them a call later.

He's into alternative ways of composing and directings, as well as random improvisation sections (solo or collective) which are supposed to be free from any musical pattern, and guided more by concepts like "the sound of a train breaking" and things like that...
