LOL Sorry I didn't mean to come off like that. Ok well from what my bf has told me and from what I have learned on my own time, the reason that blacks tend to take "ownership" of the N word is due to the fact that the whites back in the day use to call their black slaves that. So I guess that the blacks have taken a word that was used to insult them, or better yet their ancestors, and have made it their own. So basically they're saying "yes this is a word that your white ancestors use to call our black ancestors, and you can no longer refer to us as that, because we are no longer ignorant and uneducated, therefore you can no longer connect our people with that word"....unless they're really ignorant and uneducated then that's different. Do you get what I'm saying? If you don't, then just ask one of your black friends and they'll be able to explain it to you better. I'm just telling you what my man told me, because I asked him why is it so wrong for a white person to say that to you, if the real meaning has nothing to do with your skin colour, and he told me what I just told you, but in his own words...lol...anyway yeah...oh and they take more offense if a white person says it to them vs any other race, because the whites were the ones who oppressed their people.
