Ha! Pets don't help!!! Sometimes my cat will sit up super straight with his ears up focusing on something. Sometimes it's actually someone and more often than not, it's a rubberband! I stopped relying on him. Please view picture. I call it, "Kitty on high alert!!"

I have found that I am very sensitive to noises -and I blamed it on being in Cuba! So, unless I am really tired and worn out etc, it is a big problem to fall sleep if thereīs any kind of persistent, "predictable" noise. I couldnīt take the chinese torture -the water drop on the forehead-, for example.
In residence, Iīve been living right on top of a huge kitchen. First, it was only the noise what bothered me, but then one day I realized that, as every kitchen, that place down there is F@CKING CROWDED with GAS KITCHENS and GAS PIPES.
Iīm sitting on top of a canadian version of Little Boy!!!!
Now thatīs enough to make me paranoid. So I stone myself to sleep.

Then I got up, with knife in hand (I'd probably drop it and scream), set the alarm in my house and thought to myself, "Living on the 26th floor does mean that there's wind, stupid!" So I crawled back into bed feeling stupid yet again. HOWEVER, there is a reason for my madness. The contractors have keys to each unit and there have been countless times where I'd be sleeping and I'd hear my door go DING DING and some guy come in and say, "HELLO????!!!!!" No good cc: DJ Nash Mind you, that can't top the day when I first moved into my place and decided to sleep with the blinds open because the view was great. The next morning, I don't know who was more shocked, me or the window washer!! Back to my point, am I the only one that hears "noises" at night??? What have you done?-- Edited by Motown Junkie at 14:09, 2006-04-25
MJ u r too funny!
I am sure the window washer was VERY upset and distressed. Probably got the rest of the day off.
