With the way that our world is going, do we still reside in a society that still cares about what happens to your fellow man? In your opinion has the world lost it's will to trust and be kind, or is this something that was developed through time. What are your observation on the direction that were quickly moving towards?? Have me become a nation that just doesn't even a damn??
I think the care is there, but the larger population feels they are helpless to do anything about it. How many times do people genuinely feel sorrow for the poverty stricken areas and homeless children they see on tv, I would imagine the number would be quite high. People are naturally social beings, so I have a strong feeling that there is a concern for those who are suffering or less fortunate than themselves...it's just a matter of putting that concern into action.
People used to have the time to do a lot for each other, and this is changing with societal values (i.e. globalization, consumer nation etc.)...we are more concerned about ourselves. It does not mean we don't think about others, merely that we give more attention to self-gratification. When we do give our thoughts to others in need, it can all be solved through a monetary donation. Can it really? People need to understand that there is a fundamental flaw in our thinking that we can use money to create peace and stability. Like I said before, people are social beings and we lose sight of what is means to be human when we place a monetary value on it. Actions speak louder than words and it is unfortunate that the greater population is just not driven by their human commonality to help each other in times of distress. Perhaps this is the one failing of the human race.

It's hard to believe that a world that has existed for billions of years is soon to come to an end. I think that technology (like in the matrix) will be the ultimate reason for our demise. I was thinking back to the ONE day that we had no electricity, and how chaotic our world would be when this will happen AGAIN. There is a place in the middle east that when translated it means armageddon and i truly believe that that is where the end will begin. Right were all the oil sits.

You know what I thought about that...its a very good question (thanks for putting me on the spot. .lol jokes..) ummm but yeah I feel I can contribute some how...but the most ideal for me would be to donate to foundations that support the environment. I am not too sure though..although i think the doc did inform me of the reality of whats going on in our world today..

Perhaps we should only hunt, kill, extinguish ugly animals. ...I'm being a bit facetious to draw on a particular human characteristics - our propensity to want to safeguard or nuture those creatures that seem most like us (big brown eyes, having a seemingly playful spirit to them)

I found this very sad because Polar Bears are cute..well no not just for that reason...the documentary also talked about the crazy weather changes weve had in the last 6 years...and that basically WE HUMANS are just ruining our world little by little. That the earth will eventually sink into intself because the waters are rising...There is flooding going on and so many storms and stuff....Its quite sad...we are destroying our own earth...whats more we are destroying ourselves!! Yesterday on CNN I was watching a documentary on GLOBAL WARMING..(funny the anchor said WARNING at first..lol ) anyways and they were talking about how the POLAR BEARS are in risk of extinction because of how warm it is getting and how hard it is for them to now hunt for their food.
