If it's really bothering you, I suggest you take his resume and tell him that you will send it but in reality you don't. IF the company chooses not to call him back that's not YOUR fault, you did your part. BUT as a friend you can try and help him get on his feet somewhere else. I realize its deception but if you feel that he is not a reliable person, then don't put yourself out there to be discredited with your bosses. help him out YES, get him a job where you work NO!

I would definately talk to him to figure out all of the unanswered questions that are in the back of your mind.
Like a pre-screening. Lets put it this way.., It is wonderful to help someone out when they need it the most, but ensure that it is appreciated and that they understand that how well they perform or how pooorly they perform will reflect on you.

C'mon Jaime ! I don't know that person but by the description you just gave us, I would take the chance. You only recmmend person that you know will fit in, work hard and won't let you down. In other words, someone responsable !

Good Morning all, Would you recommend someone at your work even tho your "friend" barely attended school? Dropped out of several courses? Making a 3 year program a degree? Or not even finishing the program? In regards to the "friend" I know the guy but was never really close to him since I made out with a buddy of his 'soon-to-be' girlfriend. I'm in this current situation. I said I WOULD give the poor guy a hand, but in reality reflecting on his attendance and excuses during school it doesn't convince me alot or even wanting to send a simple e-mail with his resume to my Manager. He always slept during school, always made up excuses to miss exams, and even lie saying he was just about to congrat when he was far from it. Honestly, what do you think? Should I even bother?
