Most of todays rock is pretty crappy with a few exceptions.
Yes, but I dont really consider that rock, they call it rock, but it`s like a whole other genre. I love 80`s Aerosmith. I have been listening to them this past week for some reason

rock the bells LL cool j!!! still bumping that track
I love that song. Classics are exactly that, CLASSIC. Many of these songs, no matter where you hear them, they just take you back to a simpler time (at least for me). Last friday there was this DJ on Flow 93.5, not Scratch, I think he was Spice or Spin, something like that. He was playing some wicked hip hop tunes from the 80`s and early 90`s.
@Dogo - Wicked Games is an amazing song, and to agree with Chale, that video is so sexy.

hmmmmm..... probably too many, but off the top of my head, I'd have to say "Wicked Games" I can never get enough of that song and it'd probably be a hit no matter when it came out
OMG! I love that song. And i LOVE the video. Those were the times when sexy didnt need to be raunchy.
That song was soooo good.. made me melt everytime.

I've been listening to some old school since the weekend and am loving old songs by Milli Vanilli, Boyz II Men, Rob Base, Naughty by nature, Young MC, MC Hammer, Black Sheep, Run DMC, LL Cool and the list just goes on and on. Theres a few songs that feel like I heard them for the first time and have been in constant replay.
My question is what songs do you think are timeless classics that would be hits no matter what era/decade they came out in? Do you think Michael Jacksons "Thriller" would be huge if it came out now? I know it wouldn't sell that 60 Million + that it did because of all the cd burning and mp3s, but do you think it would would still be a chart topper?
What songs do you think would be hits now that came out in the past?
