I constatly check to make sure I have my keys & cell phone in my purse.....it's like I checked before I left the house and I know that I checked it but I'll take about 10 steps and re-check to make sure it's there!  It's crazy....   I guess it's because there were a few times that I've actually lost my cellie


 


Oh and also....if I see a dish or whatever in the sink I have to wash it right away.  The sink must be empty at all times!!!

My obsession is Excel gum. Always have a pack and it's like a crack addiction. Thank God(RGNFG) for 24 hour convenience stores.

How do you think I feel everyday but they are not coming to fix it and to close the water it is somewhere outside the apt So I can't do it myself

No OCD so far, thank God, RGNFG. But obsession, sure, let me think


 



 


Always need to have a window open, regardless of the season, not much, just a little. At one point I was obsessed by cleaning my place everyday from top to bottom, crazy I know. Now, I'm being more relax about it.


I am sure I have many more but can't think of any right now.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.


An estimated 1 in 50 adolescents and adults is thought to have OCD.


The typical OCD sufferer performs tasks (or compulsions) to seek relief from obsessions. To others, these tasks may appear odd and unnecessary. But for the sufferer, such tasks can feel critically important, and must be performed in particular ways to ward off dire consequences and to stop the stress from building up. Examples of these tasks: repeatedly checking that one's parked car has been locked before leaving it; turning lights on and off a set number of times before exiting a room; repeatedly washing hands at regular intervals throughout the day.


So not EVERYONE has OCD but everyone usually has an obsession or a task that they need to do to make them feel better.  What's yours?  Mine is NEVER NEVER NEVER touching a public bathroom door w/ my bare hands.  I HAVE to use a paper towel or my sleeve.  I've probably acquired germs from somewhere else but opening the doors w/ a paper towel just makes me feel better.


so.. what's yours??? AND MASTURBATION DOESN'T COUNT!
